A couple of non league snippets

If this season had started on the St Neots game at Abour Park Then that would of been 1,000+ crowd. So it's pointless taking the H&Y game away from the Attendances. But everyone knows that the first games at Beaconsfield was not going to be anywhere near 500 let alone 1,000.

So,

If you take an average of the home games (Biggleswade, Leamington and Cambridge) 640 then make that the gate for H&Y (we know it would of been more than that as local derby and a Bank Holiday) so that'll be the new average 640.

BUT

Taking the attendances as they are 3 at Beaconsfield and 4 at Abour Park the average is not that different (622)

This is League games only.

Matt Not surprised about Mickey Lewis but did expect Marcus Law to be the first casualty Kettering havent won a home league game since mid April and this season have 3/21 home points

Some Kettering fans are certainly calling for Marcus Law to go. If they lose at Biggleswade tomorrow night I think it could be curtains.

Our average is 621 and our standard deviation is 375 across our 7 league games.

In terms of outliers, in statistical terms this means the Hayes game is the only real outlier in our data set.

Taking this game out reduces our average to 491.

The other thing to consider as Staines rightly said was the number of games played, although 7/23 or 30.4% is still considered a significant sample of the population we know that 42.9% of our current data is from holloways park and so questionable of its credibility in terms of the data set to hand

It was free entry for season ticket holders and just £2 for non season ticket holders.

Looks like it was free entry to Widbrook's goal too  :D

Further to 3spirit comments and others on 3rd Oct.Kings Langley have signed 4-5players in the last few days. One of these is Ryan Hope who played in their 4-0 win at Cinderford. Other singings include Josh Hutchinson from Wealdstone/Potters Bar and Jamie Calvin from Swindon

Ryan should be a good signing for them. On paper, looks some good signings.

Of the teams we've played, that I've seen this season, surprisingly King's Langley have been one of the better ones.

They won't be challenging for honours at the top but they are certainly proving a decent outfit, and good luck to them in their first season in the Southern Premier.

Long way to go yet, for them to consolidate their position in the division but you can't take anything from them, with the start they have made.

Would 33 (if that's actual paying spectators and they've not included any comps/season tickets!) even cover the officials expenses? I presume they're paying some form of players wages plus the other associated weekly costs, they must be losing a bit unless their commercial venue covers the football losses?

Well Glen,

Season ticket holders are paying spectators, just they've paid in advance. Club Officials should also be included.

Yes fully aware of that I was just emphasising what money they would actually take from an attendance of 33. You'd have to think our new ground hasn't helped them at all as I'm sure any casual fans they might have got may now come and see us instead? Catch 22 for them as they need the money to bring in better players but with those sort of crowds they're just sliding into more debt.
