Rebel Kay, I have had another look at that team sheet and at the top it says  =   SENIOR CUP/ SENIOR TROPHY. Think they need to find a new printing company.

Don`t blame the printer, Blame the proof reader / customer. A Printer prints what he/ she is given

Mix up's do happen.

Look what happened to Corporal Jones [Clive Dunn] in this week's repeat episode of

' Dad's Army ' when he was doing a recruitment poster for the Home Guard but due to a mistake, he got put on the Wanted:  Dangerous Man poster ! ! ha ha !

Wootton bassett 5-1 Burnham they are getting deeper in the mire.

I know you've got to give their new manager time to get things right but his appointment doesn't seem the right appointment to me.

I thought they should have tried to get a non-league manager with at least a proven record at the level they are at.

Agreed 3spirit, but who in their right mind would go there. 2 relegations in 2 seasons, about 40 people go to the games and even when they were winning the Central league they only used to get 120, bottom of the league, lost EVERY game, 9 points adrift at the bottom with the teams above with games in hand, nome of the players being paid anything or likely to be paid anything. Doesnt sound like the greatest attraction for a manager does it LOL!

Yes I see what you mean SloughFlyer but you could look at it another way, in that the actual stadium facility is very good compared with others at that level.

The new manager has the opportunity to put himself in the shop window, if he turns around these dismal results and also players have the chance of moving up a division or even from park football, if you recruit wisely.

Windsor have proved that it can be done on a shoestring.

The biggest challenge seems to be working for Gary Reeves, the chairman, as he seems very unreliable and woeful in his handling of the managers he appoints.

There lies the problem !

Interesting attendence stats on a number of sites.

Non League Matters 250 clubs from step 1.

Tranmere Rovers no 1.

We are at number 49 with average of 621 and Maidenhead at no 50 average 611.

Very deceiving as 2 of our games were at Beaconsfield with lower gates.

Football webpages has our average up 122%.

Not sure if yesterday's game has been included if you add the cup games as well I am sure the average is higher.

SrJ your our stats man what are your figures.

I think it was 3 games rather than 2 at Beaconsfield wasn't it? Against St Neots (345), Stratford (336), and St Ives (349). We also then had the homecoming game against Hayes & Yeading at Arbour Park with an official attendance of 1401 which could skew the figures. When you work out the average of those 4 games I just mentioned it comes to 607 to nearest whole person :)

The 3 home league games since then; Biggleswade (575), Leamington (687),  and Cambridge (656), averages out at 639 to the nearest number.

So it looks like those 3 games at Beaconsfield plus the homecoming game are not really affecting our average attendance figures as they work out to not far off what we are now averaging since then at the new ground.

Of course, it is early days and we will have to wait and see if the crowds keep coming, but I'm sure they will now that we are back home in Slough - and if the team keeps up the good form.

There is not much point in talking about average attendances so early on in the season, particularly with us as we have had several anomalies with the 3 matches at HP and the one off huge attendance for the opening of the ground.

Come back to this discussion end of the season when we will have much more representative data and a much better picture of life at Arbour Park.

Corby manager Tommy Wright has said his job is hanging by a thread after losing to bottom club Ilkeston.

After getting relegated last season they sit next to bottom of the Northern Premier.

He expects to be sacked if they lose on Monday away to 5th placed Hednesford.

He's gone this evening.

Obviously couldn't wait until they lost at Hednesford, he's been sacked today.
