Long statement from Stringer now on Welling site  interviews underway for new manager He's  put £850000 of his own money into the club Thinks the most urgent  things they need is an artificial pitch  need to avoid relegation etc.etc. worth a read imo

You sure it’s not £85,000? Even still he’s mad especially knowing how quick a manager can lose his job! Foolish if he’s not gained shares in the club.

Adrian, the statement is from the owner Howard Prosser.

I think his statement refers to his total contribution over time but yes £850000.

Reading Rebel just beat me to it! Yes, Prosser put the money in not Stringer. Pretty sure there aren't many football coaches/managers out there with that kind of money to throw at a football club.

I remembering hearing Paul Doswell paid for the 3G pitch when he was the Manager at Sutton.

Saturday is Non-League day, and we are charging adults £10 to see the game.

Maidenhead are also at home that day, to Rochdale.

They are doing an online promotion that charges all adults £5 to get in and see the match.

Under 17's go for free.

These prices are not available at the turnstiles on the day of the match.

I wonder if this will have an effect on our attendance ?

£5 to get in which could sway a few neutrals/ground hoppers.

Maidenhead are doing nothing on the day for a good cause/charity which to my mind is a big plus for us.

They are also advertising live music and food stalls which I'm sure we'll be doing it's just not been announced yet.

I read on the club's twitter/x page, that our very recent loan signing Jaiden Bartolo won't be available for tomorrow's match because he has been called up to be in the Gibraltar squad for their two forthcoming World Cup qualifiers.

I guess it isn't an option to postpone the game? 😄

See, that's what happens when you deal with Satan's very own football club, who play in light and dark blue and come from Bucks. :flame: :threaddevil:

It doesn't take long for them to let you down. 😄

Would be very interesting if we see Maidenhead, Woking, Wealdstone and Dagenham relegated from the National League, it would be perhaps mean a financially tricky move to the North division for Chelmsford and Hemel -- or St Albans if they survive (well done for escaping the drop, here's a trip to Darlington on a Tuesday")

Ebbsfleet are already relegated so it can't be all 4.

Too close to call on who the other 3 will be but Dagenham seem to be in turmoil and in free fall so imo they will be one of the other 3 to go down.

The other 2 will almost certainly come from Boston, Maidenhead, Fylde, Woking or Wealdstone.

.............and Maidenhead have still to play Dagenham & R (A), Woking (H), Wealdstone (A), Ebbsfleet (A), Boston (H) in that order. Interesting!
