Ebbsfleet is the one that sticks out always for me. £2 million loss per season in NLS. Must be more than that in NL and in 5-6 seasons have gone nowhere (about to be relegated right back with us).

I wonder if Ebbsfleet's rich owner is getting fed up yet with all this money he's spending and still being a yo yo club between the NL and NLS?

Maidenhead lost 2 more home points tonight and are now 22nd with teams above them having 1 or 2 games in hand!

They only managed to scrape a point as well, losing 2-1 when Braintree had a player sent off in the first half.

I was there RR, they didn't scrape a draw, it was deserved for their dominance in the second half, but probably only got that point because Braintree had 10 from HT onwards. Unfortunately for Maidenhead they, similar to us, can't afford to get in the quality to lift the level of the team. The money from the Kilman transfer is ring fenced for a new ground or upgrade to York Road before anyone brings this up! I believe there may be some news on this soon.

Exactly my point Bernie.

Braintree were down to 10 men for more than half the match and M'head could still only draw after pulling it back to lead 3-2.

True RR, but the old saying of Rome wasn't built in a day has to apply here. I also think that's why the match day experience stuff, the massive work that is going on with the younger fans (schools, football camps etc) is what will help. You build those things up and people will want to keep coming back regardless of performance. Ge the core up to 800/900 average regardless of league position, increase the sponsorships etc for the finances, then improve the team and the performances and then the casual fans start to attend more and that's where your 1000+ comes from.

Of course, all of the above is both great in theory and very much easier said than done BUT IMO, the club is on the right path.

A glimpse of the possible future for Slough Town was seen at Beaconsfield last night as the Slough Town U17 Sunday Youth team won the U18 County Cup Final 6-1 with a very impressive & mature performance.

Oh no! We’re not moving back to Beaconsfield are we?

Excellent win for the under 17's.

Not that it matters but was it 5-1 or 6-1?

Lots of Non League players have signed for this new Baller League including some from the National Leagues

Henry and Alfa are involved and I can only presume the club are ok with this.

The Berks and Bucks senior cup final between Bracknell and Flackwell Heath is now to be played at Arbour Park after originally being scheduled for Didcot Town's ground.

At last some common sense from the B&B.

I think they did the same for last nights, I think Westwood told me it was originally up in Milton Keynes but it was moved as themselves and Great Missenden were in it.

Ex Rebel Sam Evans came on as a sub in Farnham Towns 1-0 win over South Park.

This win made it 15 games without defeat giving them a 15 point cushion at the top and surely a place at step 3 for next season.

Their average attendances for this season are in the 400's which must be disappointing for a club that have walked their way up the divisions shelling out the higher wages to achieve it.

Is Farnham really a football town or a bit like Beaconsfield or Burnham towns that never will be.

Their league average is 648 and they’re a step 3 club with that lead. No doubt they’ll be a force at that level too and would not be surprised if they got promoted again to our level. Obviously helps when you have a multi millionaire owner who’s putting in his money.

Thanks for that Glen.

I looked at all the stats this morning and the figures i saw said in the 400's :doah:

I was obviously doing them a dis-service and as you say with the millions backing them they could be a force to be reckoned with as long as the owners don't disappear.

I always remember Rod Stringer winning the National South with Braintree and then resigning over a budget disagreement with the owner two weeks later…… I think it was his one opportunity to manage at National League level after later missing out in play-offs with Chelmsford a few times.

Alan Devonshire was appointed the new Braintree manager.

Fixtures tomorrow night:-

St Albans v Hampton

Welling v Hemel Hempstead

St Albans & Welling favourites to win these matches, & if they don’t their chances of avoiding relegation will become very difficult.

Rod Stringer has resigned as manager of Welling United.

Stringer offered his resignation to the owner which was accepted.

His assistant will take charge until the end of the season.

Long statement from Stringer now on Welling site  interviews underway for new manager He's  put £850000 of his own money into the club Thinks the most urgent  things they need is an artificial pitch  need to avoid relegation etc.etc. worth a read imo
