Maidenhead beaten again today now in the relegation group with the two teams below them with 2 and 3 games in hand!

Boston are the only team below them with games in hand (3) but are 7 points adrift.

Big game for them on Tuesday at home to Braintree.

It's so close a point or 3 will get them out of the drop zone.

Maidenhead currently predicted to survive on goal difference, and only a single goal of goal difference:-

We are currently predicted to finish 17th but with a 9 point gap between us and 18th!

Hopefully the players can raise their standards for all remaining games and finish as high as possible. Otherwise a low finish will make it even harder to attract new players but also persuade our better players to stick with us. Unfortunately I can see another big squad rebuild this summer…

A worry of mine also is that we won't retain  some of the better players they also want to achieve better things

Unfortunately it’ll be a recurring theme until we’re in a position of regularly getting into the play offs and/or increase the budget.

The next step up for a player from us would probably be full-time football…. some might not want that & others have seen that opportunity will arise if they are playing regularly & well for us.

Hopefully we can accumulate enough points by the end of this month to guarantee our place in this league for next season, and then secure all the current squad we would like to keep by the end of April.

Maybe not really non-league but Herbert Graczyk, who played four games in goal for Slough at the start of season 2023.24, was on the bench for Manchester United in their FA Cup tie with Fulham today.
