Our Trophy opponents Kidderminster H. would have gone top of their league today if they had won. Instead they lost 0-1 to Rushall the bottom team!

Did they play their 1st 11 and did they have take it too lightly playing a bottom side with Saturday in mind?

No idea if it's true but if I was in your shoes I'd take a bit of hope/solace that it's not true from the fact that managers who are thinking about leaving or applying for other jobs in Non League, don't usually lock their current best players up on contracts (Leon etc) while they are applying - as it makes it harder to take the best players with them

Our next opponents Eastbourne Borough have announced the loan for the rest of the season of 6'4" striker John Shamalo from Barrow who just signed him from Barton Rovers and loaned him out right away He had scored 15 goals for Barton and was credited with 8 assists.

I believe his son Steve? played for Slough for a short while back in the day.

Looking at our historical archives Steve Book was the nephew of Tony Book.

He was a goalkeeper and made 2 appearances for Slough in the season 93/94 winning 1-0 at Bromsgrove Rovers and drawing 2-2 at home to Northwich Victoria.

He is currently the goalkeeping coach at Cheltenham.

I'd take him and Hollis as additions RR

They would be reasonable good acquisitions for us but I reckon fairly expensive ones.

Strangely enough a left back we had trialing for us in pre season, Kai Innocent scored for Eastbourne last night.
