Money talks but it has to be spent wisely and there are no guarantees it will attract the right players.

To get top players to come to a club battling against relegation the money would have to be something substantial.

Yes but if you’re bottom with 5 games to go you’d rather have that massive windfall to use than nowt! They could easily bring in 3 big loan signings or more which I’m sure would help steer them away. In any case they’ll stay up as the jammy bar stools always do…

Looking at the Southern League Division One South league table today, I notice there are now numerous clubs from Devon and Cornwall playing in this league. If my geography is correct, there are three Cornish teams, namely Helston Ath, Mousehole AFC and Falmouth Town, then four Devon teams, Exmouth Town, Willand Rovers, Tavistock and Bideford. A couple of seasons ago, we only used to hear of Taunton and Truro ( although perhaps we did play Bideford for one season?)

That is a lot of travelling for the likes of Didcot Town.

Johnny Goddard came on for Sousa in 83rd minute on Saturday according to NLP, plus pretty sure I saw him in the highlights of the game on You Tube. Whatever he's not getting many minutes so far this season.

Tyrese's injury problems are a major concern for both him and Maidenhead, as they were for us last season.

You're probably right Bernie. I was only going by their twitter feed which seems to be pretty good on subs + times.

As you say either way he's not getting many minutes and at his age 😏 he needs to be playing regularly.

Obviously the money and being full time must ease the pain of those splinters 😂

No appearances for ex rebel Tyrese Dyce in Maidenheads squad since August 17th, I can only think he's picked up a long term injury.

Ex rebel Johnny Goddard was an unused sub at Boreham Wood for the second week running.

He has. Bad knee injury.

Rebelade said he's had his knee cleaned out which apparently is to have the tissue and ligaments cleaned out.

According to google it's around 6 weeks to get back to doing some physical activity and 3 to 4 months to build up strength in the knee.

So that's long term in my opinion. On that basis no appearances until February earliest.

I suppose these are possible timescales and every ones different but I'd reckon he won't be back to at least the other side of Christmas.

Didn't he have a long term serious injury before he came to us as well? If that's the case, couple that with the half a season he missed with us and it validates my thoughts when he signed for Maidnehead in that it was at least a season too early. He is clearly talented, but no where near proved his ability to stay fit. Was a gamble from them and it appears they lost!

Possibly yes but hopefully for his sake the operation is a success and his injury problems are firmly behind him.
