I see Dan Wishart has left Hampton. Surely fits the bill perfectly for us? Left back who likes to get forward and local lad. Also has bags of experience which could prove vital if we do lose a couple of our own more experienced players.

Decent left back and as you say plenty of experience.

Only minus point might be the money he was on at Hampton could be out of our range.

For stability their other left back Donaldson could be a better bet if he becomes available.

Chesham's goal machine Ricardo German has left the newly-promoted Generals to pursue a new career opportunity.

As has their Reading-based goalkeeper

What a coincidence that we’re looking for a goalkeeper too!

Hemel have today announced 4 new signings.

They have raided relegated sides Dartford and Banbury for 3 of their signings.

Defenders Jack Davies and Ethan Light from Banbury and winger Brandon Barzey from Dartford.

They've also signed a player mentioned on this forum in left back Dan Wishart from Hampton.

On the Chesham retained list as 'still in discussions' is left back Alex Lafleur who was named in the leagues top defender category last season.

Not sure why clubs would release the names of players ‘in discussions’ as that just openly invites clubs to prise them away! Ok some might be aware of their availability but surely not every interested club?

If we've got no one lined up at left back Lafleur who's only 24 and lives just down the road in Maple Cross surely must be a consideration for us.

As you say Glen it does sound a bit daft but any manager or scout worth their salt should be aware of all local clubs and the availability of their players.

Speaking of scouts I wonder how our recently acquired scout is progressing in his role at the club.

The Chesham keeper is only 29 and has a cv as long as your arm.

He's played mainly at lower levels trying a couple of times to play at a higher level but so far with no success.

Pretty sure Chesham's managers will be looking for someone with a bit more height.

Alfy Whittingham has left Hampton and Richmond fc to drop down a division by joining Havant.

Hampton look in a spot of bother as they seem to be losing their best players, and their recruitment of Alan Julien as their manager appears a shot in the dark.

On Chesham's retained list I noticed they are keeping Bradley Clayton and the rated Jordan Edwards, with the familiar name of Ryan Upward also in their rank. They are also still in talks with one Ogo Obi.

I saw that Alfy Whittingham was leaving Hampton and immediately thought he would be a good signing for us and wondered why he was dropping a level to play for Havant only to see that he lives down that way and should be on decent money.

It does seem a good opportunity to look at some of the Hampton players whilst their is unrest in their camp. We need a left back which Dan Wishart would have filled nicely but for some reason, probably money, he's by-passed us and gone to Hemel. That still leaves their other left back Donaldson who I think is a decent player.

Another player I've mentioned above from Chesham is their left back Alex Lafleur who won plaudits last season for his performances and is still in talks with them and lives just a few miles from Slough. I would think he's certainly worth an approach if we haven't solved the left back position.

Zaki Qualah is only 5ft 9in which is small for a keeper.

He spent a lot of years at AFC Wimbledon and seems to have all the attributes of a keeper and very possibly it's only his height that has prevented him from making it as a full time pro.
