Disastrous season for Beaconsfield, will Unders remain in charge?

I’m sure he’d want to but obviously it’s down to their chairman. Step 4 will be more of a natural level for them which hopefully they can exceed at.

Oh, will George Alexander be looking to move on again.

Probably but I can’t see him moving up a division, got a feeling we’ll see him again next season.

Looks like both Beaconsfield and Hayes and Yeading were both relegated today.

After only one win since 16th December (after which they were 6th with 33 points and just outside the play-offs), our old friends from Hitchin Town have been relegated from the Southern Premier Central. Their record since December 16th has been P22 W1 D 4 L 17, with 7 points (which includes an expunged draw against now-defunct Nuneaton Borough) from a possible 66. Final place 19th with 39 points.

How on earth can a team utterly implode like this and go from 6th place in December to that?

Over the past 2 seasons he's been loaned out at Welling united, us and Dartford, only to be sent back and loaned out again before the initial loan expired for all three clubs, so it looks like he has problems settling in. He's done well at Chelmsford since he went there so maybe he'll stay and give it another shot.

And at Step 5, Burnham miss the play-offs losing to Wokingham last match of the season, & Chalfont are relegated to Step 6 (where they will be playing Windsor & Langley).

Burnham are in the playoffs if they win on Tuesday

Possibly something to do with long term Hitchin manager Mark Burke calling it a day.

He left on 5th March, so that alone can't explain their horrendous form for the 2 1/2 months leading upto his resignation.

Maybe not but to resign at that stage of the season he must of been thinking about it and possibly took his eye of the ball.

Amersham Town striker Jake Tabor has ended the season on 76 goals and 26 assists.

Step 6 but surely with that scoring record a club higher up the pyramid will give him a chance to prove his worth.

He must be playing against some really poor sides though! For me he’s too far down to be worth a punt. If can prove himself at step 4 then sides likes us would become interested.

Last time he was at Step 4 (start of the 2022/23) he was anonymous at Northwood before going to Rayners Lane smashing in goals before this season in an Amersham team far too good for the level

Think he's probably far too individualistic in his play to get much higher than Step 5 to be honest and he's had something like 20 cards this year which is far too many for any striker at any level and will put some clubs off

Went (along with quite a few Rebels fans) to Beaconsfield yesterday. Having seen them play throughout the season, its quite remarkable they have been relegated. Yesterday the Plymouth keeper had a blinder and Beaconsfield could have arguably had 2 further pens, they hit the bar and missed a 1 on 1 as well. Any 1 of those chances go in, they stay up. Shame really with them along with Hayes and Harrow getting relegated and Chesham getting promoted, our in take of Southern Prem games next year will be limited at best.

Gutted for Unders. Slough Flyer, did Beaconsfield have budget cuts to lose some of their better players latterly in the season? If not, remarkable how quick the wheels fell off for Unders team as they were doing fairly well mid season.

Hayes and Yeading's demise is another strange one. Sounds like they have had trouble recruiting the right players to address their slide down the table and Andy Leese's appointment came too late in their season.

From what I know the Beaconsfield team were fairly steady in budget from the beginning of the year. I think John possibly recruited better as rhe season went on. Having said that, yesterday was a micro look at their issues throughout the season. Couldn't finish the chances they created and let goals in a critical times to prevent seeing games out.

As for H+Y, they have been fairly doomed for most of the season and really have never looked like the team the year they lost in the playoff final to Farnborough since then. I think it was a case of all the eggs in the promotion basket that year (with players like Amarty and Emmanuel up top) and the wheels came off when they didn't get promoted and have been coming off more and more since then.

Leese seems like a decent manager but 3 weeks just isn't enough time to turn things around. Their loss to Plymouth on Wednesday really cost them dearly, but if he stays, they may have a good chance of getting back up next year.

Was at the Bracknell game. Gary Abisogun was there in the pre match preparations, but not in the matchday squad. Dan Bayliss was in attendance as was Seb Bowerman (Dorking Wanderers). All players with Bracknell connections.

Stood by Hayes & Yeading bench all game, there was some major dissent following a substitution, with the player involved being repeatedly told to go and get changed and another coach asking to keep the issue until after the game. Not great team spirit imo and perhaps an insight into their struggles.

0-0 at HT and Bracknell 2-0 and 3-2 up, but pegged back late on. H&Y were worth the draw, but couldn't do enough to force the win needed. Bracknell fans ran on the pitch like they were already promoted! AFC Totton away next for them in S/F.

Reading reports AFC Totton have put together a good side on a very decent budget so Bracknell have their work cut out to get a result.

Do we know roughly where Beaconsfield will end up playing?
