The 14 days that Torquays owner said would result in administation are up but he has announced a 10 working days moratorium (effectively another 14 days) Torquay are in negotiations with 3 suitors one of which they are very hopeful about If not its administation and a 10 point penalty in 14 days time.

Dartford got thumped 4-1 today and look to be in serious trouble one place above the relegation zone.

Braintree have signed 34 year old Freddie Sears from Dagenham & Redbridge.

His scoring record at the daggers was 1 goal in 21 games.

Yes mostly known for his 200 + appearences between 2015/21 for Ipswich Town

So why would you want to play games in August to October on warm Tuesday nights when you can have them called off in January to March instead!

Obviously the real issues here are the lack of covered seating and not the weather or state of the pitch (just ask the Southern League).

Torquay have now officially been docked 10 points and sit just 3 points above the drop zone.

After getting thumped 3 -0 at home last night by Taunton it could be a very nervous end to the season for the ex football league club.

And its only a few days since they claimed they had been granted another 10 working days since they were so close to agreeing the sale of the club to one of a number of suitors! I guess they will have lost the possibilty of continuing at their present level.

Torquay mainpage confirming they also have a player embargo imposed as well. They reconfirm that they had an extra 10 working days in which to go into administration or not  They claim their offence was "announcing an administration event" according to the National League and that they arent in administration !

Just how do these big ex-football league clubs end up like this?

Rochdale have entered into a Period of Exclusivity with a Texas-based company called Soccer Holdings LLC, so it looks like they may avoid liquidation after all.

However, a rival bidder, Football Club LLC (TFC), has said that there hasn't been a "an open, full and fair process", also saying that they haven't received any response to their own Letter of Intent.

The saga continues (thank goodness we're not worrying about these things any more).

Taunton asking as many people as can go to attend the ground NOW to help spread sand around suspect areas of the pitch  still raining lightly where I am 6/7 miles from ground.

Some other good news from yesterday.

Bath Have slipped out of the play-off places.

Wouldn't it be poetic justice if, when we eventually get to play our rearranged game, we stopped them from getting into the play-offs. 

Dover are all but down.

Havant look doomed. Realistically they can only catch Taunton and Truro who have 5 and 6 games in hand on them.

The biggest surprise of the season could well see Dartford relegated.
