A couple of non league snippets

Not too surprised to see Matt Day and Johnny McNamara in there as they were both stand out players when we played them.

I thought Garyn Preen and Jordan Nicholson might have had a chance of making it as well. We came up against quite a few very good centre backs this year but I can't remember there names, always easier to remember attackers I guess.

From our team I think only Lewis Putman might have a chance but there were plenty of good wingers in the league.

SRJ, you'll have to give us a clue on who Jordan Nicholson is. Also you'd have to go a long way at our level to get a better center back pairing that Walker and Day.

Very surprised the best midfielder in the division Ashley Sammons is not in the team.

Jordan Nicholson was the left mid / striker at Histon who was their main threat when we played them away. He was later picked up by Peterborough.

All the players chosen were from teams who were in the play-offs/won the league except for Chippenham who had the leagues top scorer and St Neots who had the leagues second top scorer.

Chosen team: Breedon and Gudger ( Leamington) Bickerstaff and McNamara ( Hitchin) Day and Jarvis (Hungerford) Walker and Devlin (Poole) Richards ( Redditch) Sandell ( Chippenham ) Meechan (St Neots) Any players you think should be in this team based on outstanding performances you saw?

I'd add Ben Mackey [Leamington] and Stefan Brown [Hungerford]

Wilson Carvalho [Kettering] Dave Pearce [Chesham] Chris Shepherd [Weymouth]  Richard Taundry [Leamington] Jamie Whisken [Poole Town] and Guy Hollis [slough Town].

I think you mean Bateman not the Caped Crusader ! ha ha!

Can't see him being out of work for long. As for FC Aylesbury until they bury the hatchet with Aylesbury United, I can't see how they are going to get much further than where they are currently.

Wonder if Adam Logie may get the opportunity to step up?

Micky Lewis has been appointed first team manager at Hayes and Yeading.

A good appointment, me thinks.

He was coach under Garry Haylock last season.

When he was at Slough with Eddie Denton, I thought he was well clued up and certainly knew his stuff.

Surely deserves a chance at management. Be interesting to see who he appoints as his assistant.

Seems to ring a bell that after he left us he went back to Oxford City maybe as Manager or coach for a while?

He has had the odd stint as a manager and caretaker manager but predominantly he's been a coach.

Micky spent last two years at Oxford United running youth / academy set up. May be able to continue as it1s his day job

Curtis Ujah, who had a couple of games with us on loan awhile back, has left Chesham to join Enfield.

Former Slough player Elliott Buchanan has joined Margate from Bishops Stortford.

Reportedly Buchanan was on £175 a week at Bishops Stortford and has quadrupled his wages signing for Margate.
