TBH very good player for us over the years but at 32 unless he can commit to football 100% unlike in recent seasons his best years are well behind him.

Although he joined Farnham in the close season  injury limited him to 10 appearences  Maybe hes fully fit again

I was surprised to see that Farnham are Step 5, and have won all of their 18 league matches this season.

Guy will always be a Slough Town great with his major contribution in two play-off final victories for us, but I thought he had passed his peak in January 2022 even before he left for Havant, so surprised to see him jumping from Step 5 back to Step 2.

Farnham are the big spenders of step 5 so no surprise they are walking the league.

Guy's move to Farnborough has got to be solely down to Bakes now being at the club.

He'll always be remembered for his efforts in bringing success to Slough but as you say I think his best day's, especially at this level, are behind him.

David Noble has taken the managers job at Wealdstone. Big loss for St Albans.

That’s what happens when a younger ambitious manager gets a mid size step 2 club into the play-offs.

I’d rate St. Albans as one of the bigger clubs at step 2. They have the 9th highest average (1,599) over both step 2 divisions and regularly boast crowds of over 3,000 for holiday and big cup matches. They’re regular play off contenders and managed to keep one of step 2’s best players and top scorers for 2 seasons meaning they probably also have a very good budget.

St Albans might be one of the bigger clubs because of their attendances but for their supposed higher end budget over the seasons I'd say they've probably under achieved.

As for David Noble, he was a very good player in his day for St Albans but his post match interviews are the most monotonous and boring I've ever heard.

Word on social media is that Welling have sacked manager Danny Bloor.

Apparently he was notified by phone on the way home after winning 2-1 at Hemel.

Danny comes across as an honest and genuinely nice person and didn't deserve to be treated in such a disrespectful way.

Yes this was being reported not long after 6pm and then denied on several sites but posts  the last few hours have been all confirming its true  Absolutely disgraceful imo  Nothing official from Welling and lots of comments saying the CEO is about to quit Lets watch this space!

Official statement on the Welling site saying Bloor was dismissed because they didnt feel he was capable of getting the number of points necessary from the number of remaining games!

The search hasbegun for a manager who can!

He's had a decent career as a manager at this level or thereabouts despite being promptly sacked by Burgess Hill Town after leading them out of county level football into the Southern League about 20 years ago.  Football management can be a cruel game.
