The laughable bit is that he signed them all and now wants rid of some and sign a few more.

If they're not putting in the effort for the club he needs to look at the character of players he's signing not just their ability.

Please Aaron realise what an idiot Spencer is and come back to us where you’re loved and worshiped!!!

First thing new owner did was announce that the club would become a full time outfit signed a number of new players and there was a lot of hype pre season re promotion. This is what happens when considerable wealth and considerable stupidity  get together!

I simply don't understand why clubs at this level ever see going full-time as some sort of Holy Grail. The only full-time players a step-2 club like Eastbourne are likely to attract are those who've failed at "proper" professional clubs.

Unless of course they're rich enough to pay silly money for mercenaries who are good enough to play 2 levels higher, like Wrexham did last season.

I’m happy to wait until the summer… hoping his contract is up by then as it’s unlikely it’ll be renewed.

I suppose we can always live in hope but I'm sure Aaron wants to still try and progress his football career so unless it all goes belly up I'm sure he'll be looking to stay at NL level or above.

I would have thought any 18-21 year old released by a Premier League or Championship club would still hope to eventually make a reasonable living from League 1, 2, or the National League, but to do so they will need to continue training full-time & be getting plenty of playing time to be scouted.

I would have thought a full time Step 2 club could be ideal for this type of player, especially when £400-£500 a week is an above average salary for an 18-21 year old.

But they will likely have a greedy agent who is trying to milk them for everything, and 10-20% of £400-£500 will not be worth their while!

It may make sense from the players perspective, but what of their quality? Players get released from Premier League or Championship clubs all the time. If they're any good they'll go to clubs in League One, League Two or a big club (former Football League club in other words) in the National League Premier.

For a full-time player to end up in the National League South I'd say is a sign that, as a full-time player, they're not much good, as I think Eastbourne have discovered the hard way this season.

Taken from his Wiki page:

Vastly experienced playing career at football league clubs.

Mainly been a assistant/caretaker manager until given the Fylde job.

Oversaw an upturn in form at Fylde with 4 wins from first 6 games eventually getting them promoted.

He was sacked in October with Fylde bottom of the NL.

Recently been assistant manager at Cheltenham.

He wouldn’t be cheap and probably would ask for at least a 2 year contract plus guarantees on a decent budget for new signings. I think they’ll be safe from relegation and expect them to be up there next season.

Spencer Day calls it the worst kept secret in football  speaks of the connection with Neil and his late father says it was discussed back in the summer and hes just been waiting for Neil to name the day!

I wish Neil all the best too talented to be doing nothing!

Max Kilman, Wolves defender, is once again the subject of transfer rumours with Napoli making a 35 million euro offer for him that has been rejected.

Relevance? He went directly to Wolves from Maidenhead Utd who have a sell on clause on him. Even if it was as low as 10% it would make a massive difference to the fortunes & capability of challenging for promotion for Maidenhead if he moves this summer.

The development of young players & selling them on to Football League clubs appears to have been a very conscious long term decision by Maidenhead which could start paying dividends.

Max Kilman transfer rumours doing the rounds again, this time it could be to West Ham for £40 million this month.

And apparently he went to Wolves from Maidenhead in 2018 for £40,000 with a 20% sell-on clause.

Just taken a detailed look at the updated table Only 4/24 teams have a better GD than us and only 2/24 have scored more goals than us !

Several members have mentioned that we are  9 points off the relegation zone its also a fact that we are 8 points off the promotion group!
