A couple of managerial changes that might interest some.

Ex Havant manager Paul Doswell has become the new manager at Sholing FC.

After being given the elbow at Enfield and Kettering Town, Andy Lees is the new manager at Histon FC

Chris Nunn is the new Histon manager.

Bracknell 1 Dagenham & Redbridge 0

A 94th minute winner for Bracknell

Dagenham, who were taken over in 2018 by an American consortium (of which Tim Howard is a member) amid much fanfare and expectation, are managed by former Rebel Ben Strevens and were until last season promotion hopefuls, but have drastically reduced their budget and sold all their best players. The way they're going, I wouldn't be surprised to see them in the NLS next season.

Our opponents on Saturday Chelmsford have a 10 hour round trip to Whitby on Tuesday after their 2-2 draw yesterday.

Why/how were they matched with a club so far up north? But hopefully it goes to penalties and they lose plus have a couple sent off and minor injuries to their best players to keep them out of Saturday’s game!

I suppose some teams had to lose out in the regionalised draw.

Results in our league yesterday pushed  us down into the drop zone again Yes Cups bring excitement ( and hopefully cash) but our concentration needs to be in climbing the table before we get into a situation like the Great Escape last season

Looks like Mickel made his debut for Uxbridge last Saturday away to Met Police.

Hopefully he's come out of both games unscathed.

Wasn't able to make Ebbsfleet on Saturday (stupid family commitments🤣) so took in Uxbridge v Leatherhead as it was the first on their new pitch.

Liked the look of Platt very much. Was strong in the air and took his goal very well. Also looked to hassle the defence at every opportunity. Came off after 85 minutes following putting in a very good shift. Won't be long before he is challenging for a place in our squad I'm sure.

Sounds like good news so far.

Once George goes back or maybe sooner Mickel should add some welcome competition to our attack.

It will be interesting if George does go back. Bromley are playing extremely well at the moment and I'm sure George would rather be playing than sitting on a bench. Long way to go between now and then though.

Looked really good RR, to be fair, it was Step 4 and regardless of scoreline (which flattered Leatherhead) and Leatherheads league position, they weren't great in defence, a very positive first viewing (that I can recall) of Platt.

I'm sure nothing is set in stone or decided from both parties until nearer the deadline of January 1st.
