A couple of non league snippets

I know he scored on Saturday but that was more about our mistake than his quality. Not sure he is that brilliant even after 8 in 10. I would have liked to have seen how he got on with Baylis playing as he certainly wouldn't have won as many headers as he did.

I guess also it depends on how Woking are going to play him. If you have a speedy striker along side him it might be a good pairing.

You've only got to look at his track record.

Dartford apart, which was 6 years ago, his scoring record is not good.

Putting aside his goal (which as a striker is his job of course) I didn't think he was all that. Won plenty of headers and to be fair, Temi is a heck of a defender to come up against, but didn't look like he was going to hurt us massively (as I said, add Baylis in there and he wouldn't have won that many headers IMO).

Can't ignore his goal record this season of course, but I'm surprised, if true, Woking paid £40k for him!!

Continued 💩show at Scunthorpe. Owner withdraws funding, forcing them to vacate their ground at Glanford Park (whose ownership is in dispute) in two weeks, say they will groundshare at Gainsborough Trinity, only for Gainsborough to deny this (citing due process)!

They were in the Championship as recently as 2011. Their fall mirrors ours in some ways. You've got to feel for their fans.

Away to Stafford Rangers,  was it the day it chucked down with rain?

No, if my memory serves me correct it wasn't raining. Stan Collymore ran the show first half but Slough still created chances but found themselves 3-0 down at half time.Luckily for Slough and unluckily for Stan he had to go off the pitch [injury I presume] at half time and that's when the tide turned for the Rebels storming comeback win, with Steve Thompson in particular being at his brilliant best.

Scunthorpe are well and truly up the proverbial creek; crowdfunding money to pay players & staff, and now subject to a winding-up petition (although these days that seems to be a mere formality for big clubs; just look at Southend United).

No club is too big to not have this happen to them. And some people wonder why we ask questions about potential owners...

You can include Southend in the category of up the proverbial creek.

For some reason The High Court keep giving them a further 42 days. They also recently lost their appeal against a 10-point deduction imposed due to the endless winding-up orders and stays of execution they keep being granted.
