A couple of non league snippets

As far as I understand it now, only Uxbridge will share at AP and only until their own 3G pitch is ready, whether Langley will need to do likewise I don't know as they are sharing at Uxbridge this season.

As for Windsor it looks like the club may come under the auspices of Beaconsfield and players may come from that source perhaps.

Any idea when Uxbridge’s 3G pitch is expected to be completed?

As it could cause fixture issues with the FA Cup qualifying matches come September - if Uxbridge make the 1st Qualifying round it is due to be played 2nd September when we are due to be at home to Tonbridge.

So in effect Windsor become Beaconsfields reserves? Beaconsfield Royals FC anyone?

They would likely play on a Friday evening if they get a home tie, as with their FA Trophy tie against Sevenoaks Town.

Well, it was Beaconsfield SYCOB up until recent years.........

I found it laughable that the Windsor chairman wants to build a brand new stadium in Windsor! Even if he finds that large available piece of land and the millions it’ll cost, what is the point with next to no fans?

All these ground sharing threads make one forget that a (presumably) serviceable football stadium has been lying idle in the area for a decade.

Ebbsfleet United have just filed their accounts for the 2021-2022 season (when they lost in the play-off final to Dorking), which show they made a loss for the season of £1.8 million.

Thankfully they are not in our division this season!

I've no doubt that next season in the NL Ebbsfleet's spending and debt will be a lot higher than it's ever been.

As long as the money man retains his interest in the club they will survive making huge losses each season.

Maidstone?

Got to give him his due he's got some b***s 😅

And you just know he’ll score against us if he plays!

If that’s the calibre of player they’re looking at then maybe their squad isn’t as strong as i thought.

At the RBWM Cabinet meeting tonight a decision was made by Councillors to renege on the Council’s commitment to make the Braywick Park site available to the Maidenhead United Football Club and the Maidenhead United FC Community Trust for the proposed new stadium and associated community facilities.

Awful decision in my opinion, lets hope they aren't now thinking of putting houses at Braywick and have an ulterior motive.

Probably like us all I know people involved at Maidenhead including numerous parents and at present their training is all having to take place as far a field as Reading due to a lack of facilities available.

Just seems so short sighted.

When we were down there last season I had a really long chat with their Head of Stewards and Head Groundman as Jamie was with Rhys on the pitch warming up so I was pitch side watching.

They were telling me that the owner is building a new 8000 capacity stadium behind the current ground in the estuary on old dock yards and he's driving the project himself as he wants league football.

I guess the worry like all owners is if he walks away what happens?
