The article says their main source of income from their 'in house lottery' has been reducing for some time which has forced them to accept relegation to step 4.

Not sure what that source of income is all about.

They have also scrapped their reserve team to reduce their outgoings.

I read that not to be the club's lottery but the whole in service lottery of the Metropolitan Police.  The article implies that this has been in decline for awhile. I'm guessing it helped fund not just the football but also the other Met Police sports clubs too.

Unders will take sole charge of Beaconsfield 1st team for the upcoming season with Sam Togwell assisting him. Bakes has taken a step away from management for the time being.

This is a surprise. I hope all is well with Neil [and family], and it is only work commitments that has got in the way of his football. Jon will definitely miss him.

Looks like Harrow Borough have had a relegation reprieve to stay in the Premier Division South.

I still see Dan Roberts as a 1 goal in 3 starts striker on an average team at Step 2 or about 15 goals a season.

At a good and ambitious Step 3 team he is probably a 1 goal in 2 starts striker that will score 20 to 25 goals a season.

I don’t think he will be without a club for very long, and see it most likely be a Step 3 club.

That is because Metropolitan Police opted for voluntary relegation to Division One South :-

Have to say I'm on the fence when it comes to Dan Roberts.

Showed a lot of potential scoring goals for fun at a lower level for Windsor.

Scored 13 goals in 61 appearances for Slough.

On loan to us for 5 games last season and didn't score.

Went on loan to Hungerford and started scoring goals.

I think he will score 15+ goals at level 2 playing for a team that plays to his strengths.

Worrying for someone who loves his football and was raring to get back into management.

Hopefully it's nothing serious.

Going there once myself was more than enough, would not surprise me if the place is twinned with Chernobyl.

Might be being unfair on Chernobyl. 😂

Bishops Stortford have appealed the decision to send them North.

They have worked out that in 5 of their furthest away games they will travel around 2,500 miles.

If you drew a line like VAR isn't Braintree further north ?

Marginally. But I think the deciding factor is that Braintree have to travel west and go  through Bishop Stortford to go north. Therefore BS slightly better placed for travel

I think there's very little in it between Braintree and Bishops Stortford.

What they tend to look at is what club is situated on the best road links north.
