Terrible from St. Albans, can’t wait to hear their managers reason for not starting their and the leagues top scorer! Yes be nice to have different opposition at Xmas, could be St. Albans, Hemel, Hampton or Farnborough?

Pretty sure Hemel v St Albans will stay the same.

Don't mind between Hampton and Farnborough.

Hopefully Farnborough sort out their dire pitch or they'll have the same problems with postponements.

Poor decision not to play their top scorer (does he live near Slough) I just thought Oxford were far superior on the day.

Today along with a fellow rebel we made our way over to Oxford to witness a total football masterclass from Oxford City.

From minute 1 to minute 90 they totally outclassed St Albans and the first 45 minutes is some of the best football I've seen at our level, they were just superb and thoroughly deserved their victory just as they did when I saw them beat Worthing the week before.

Every player played well but one player stood out by a mile and that was Zac McEachran, in both games he just controlled the midfield. What a player.

A crowd of 3100 were there with the addition of 2 temporary terrace stands which gave amusement to many people, a sight to behold.

A strange decision not to start with Jeffers which the ones we spoke to didn't understand.

Anyway congratulations to Oxford City

Looking at the division in closer detail I reckon over the festive period we could well get Chippenham.

Oxford City beat St Albans 4-0 in today’s play off final, damage all done in the first half hour with 3 goals conceded and a fourth on half time.

At least we are now spared in playing them upon Boxing Day & New Years Day.

Amen to that, sick of them over the festive period.

Mind you, not sure who'll we'll get now, everyone local has deserted us...😂

NL, NLS & NLN league configurations are due out tomorrow.

Looks like one of three will go north, Bishops Stortford, Braintree or St Albans.

I've never been to Bishop Stortford's ground so I'm hoping its Braintree, desolate place.

Watched on TV, and agree with this. Jeffers hasn't been starting for St. Albans for some weeks, maybe the formation doesn't suit 2 strikers, which is possibly why there's been an upturn in form since Jan/Feb. Mitchell Weiss seems to be the preferred starter. It hasn't stopped Jeffers banging in the goals though.

A rumoured enormous salary should ensure he's never coming to play for us btw!!

The best side apart from Ebbsfleet got promoted. Interesting how we managed to beat both of these sides post Xmas!

Braintree or Stortford for the dubious move to NLN, St. Albans is slightly south of those two.

Jeffers is 31 and if he moves away from St Albans to again become the number one striker at a club no doubt he'll be looking for his last big pay day.

Personally I liked the look of the forward Josh Parker whose experience at winning and holding the ball up was top draw.

The teams that do well produce consistent performances rather than the occasional upset.

Seeing the allocations being released for the upcoming season, I still find it odd seeing we're back in the same league as Yeovil.

This is a club I remember us playing back in the Vauxhall Opel years mid - late 80s. Always one of the big boys of the league back then with good crowds and have followed their progress throughout the years.

Looking at the league and teams in it, looks like it could be the strongest / toughest since we got promoted to the NLS.

Agree RM.

Last pre season apart from Dulwich you could easily have predicted the other three relegated sides.

This coming season apart from possibly Aveley I think it's difficult to name the other 3 sides that will be relegated.

So I think the division will be a lot tougher.

Met police have accepted voluntary relegation

The article says their main source of income from their 'in house lottery' has been reducing for some time which has forced them to accept relegation to step 4.

Not sure what that source of income is all about.

They have also scrapped their reserve team to reduce their outgoings.
