Possibly only on goal difference.

They keep getting away with it, surely got to catch up with them at some point?

If it was going to catch up with them it would have been this season. They seem to have been forced into selling their top player, Josh Kelly, to Solihull two weeks before the season started.

They are now getting average gates of about 1,500, & seem to have established a system of successfully developing & selling players.

Is it six seasons in the National League now? Well into his 60’s Alan Devonshire has one more season on his contract, it will be interesting to see what happens with Maidenhead after he’s gone.

Very true, I think Dev will be a big loss if he steps away.

I wonder how the ground move when it happens will effect them?

I don't hear any Maidenhead supporters moaning about Devonshire whenever I go (I've been to 9 games this season). Most fans I've spoken to are grateful to be in NL. In fact I think he's the main reason they're still in that league.

Some of the football served up has been poor, but they still get results! At least enough to avoid the drop!! I recall that their existence at our level was perilous for most of the time, but Devonshire's second coming got them promoted.

Selling York Road will undoubtedly finance them in the future, but I believe selling Max Killman to Wolves has been a nice earner (maybe still is and with sell on clause too) and other player sales have boosted the coffers over time (e.g. Inman to Billericay, Tarpey to Barnet, Kelly to Solihull).

They have Barnet at home and Gateshead away to save themselves from a local derby against us!

I can only go by what I read on social media and there are some dissenting voices which I suppose you'll always get when you're struggling and playing dire football.

Some also don't like that he hardly ever gives post match interviews preferring to send out Ryan Peters to face the flak.

And to be frank, watching Ryan Peters give an interview is like watching paint dry.

That odd football manager paradox. Many who were clever/explosive/entertaining players often field dour, rugged sides whilst some of those who were dour and rugged players send out teams bursting with skill and creativity. Reacting to what scared them most I suppose.

Rochdale who were four divisions above us when they beat us 4-0 in the second round of the FA Cup in December 2017, will be a non league club next season & only one division above us.

Probably goes with their home attendances which is the 4th lowest in the division.

To survive in the long term in the EFL you need the support to match.
