Tiverton apart familiar rivals from days of old.

Be a bit like back to the future 😂

Tiverton away a few seasons back (the year we won the playoffs I believe) was played on one of the worst pitches I've ever seen. It had tipped with rain for about 6 months prior to the game and how it was played I'll never know. We always do 1 or 2 longer away trips and stay each season and that was one of them. We lost 3-0 and we were very pleased not to have to come all the way home that night off the back of the game.

Good to see Basingstoke Town are having a bit of a resurgence with ex rebel Simon Dunn as their captain.

Top of the table having won 12 games on the spin they won 2-0 yesterday against Leatherhead with ex Rebel Paul Hodges scoring.

Attendance was just under 800.

Saw them beat Binfield a couple of weeks ago and the looked fairly good RR. Dunny that game was fairly quiet (it was a cagy affair) but it was clear they are a decent side, well drilled and have some good players for the level in their ranks. Since then they have kicked on really well and I would think they are looking good already for the title.

look to see many of our old players at beaconsfield unless there is a large budget although i feel that bakes and unders are probably in their comfort zone at the level beaconsfield are at

Comfort zone?

Its a bloody tough league, lots of challenges especially managing a club like Beaconsfield

What happened to Basingstoke's old ground? And where do they play their games now?

They are currently playing at The Winklebury Football Complex which is in town but I believe they are still fighting to develop further that site with a new facility going forward.

I think they were trying to get back to The Camrose but with no joy with their council but i stand to be corrected.

Not sure what they've built on their old ground but they now play at Winklebury a district of Basingstoke, possibly a ground share arrangement.

Winklebury is the Hampshire FA’s ground which Basingstoke rent. They’re shortly going to be making further ground improvements to match their old grounds grading. They’re still looking to build a new stadium but as we all know that could take years if it happens at all.

I notice that our old friends and rivals😏 Dorking Wanderers have slipped into the National League relegation zone with a much worse GD than the teams above them I  bet theyre praying for injured players to return to fitness!

I think they slipped out of it because Gateshead have been docked a point for playing an ineligible player.

Marc White confident they will be safe once their players come back from injury.
