Former Farnborough and Dartford manager  Steve King is expected to accept an offer to manage Gloucester City.

St Albans have flattered to deceive in the league in recent seasons and have not started this season very well. Their defeat in the FA Cup at AFC Sudbury was probably the last straw.

King has just been announced as the new Gloucester City manager.

On the St Albans forum the fans seem to think that Dean Austin [Director of Football] and Ian Allinson are not the best of buddies, and since Dean Austin has been at the club there have been tensions between the two. Bizarrely, Ian Allinson is staying with St Albans as the commercial manager ! 

What manager is going to want to take over, if they are caught in the middle of those two ? !

Wasn't Ian Allinson connected with Arsenal and Dean Austin with Spurs  ?

Both are ex-players at Arsenal & Spurs respectively. Dean Austin was, I believe, signed from St. Albans by Spurs

Spurs signed him from Southend, a path trodden by Justin Edinburgh two years before. Was very good in his first season, broke his leg in his second and was never the same.

The Premier league has announced a  £9million fund to support all 72 NL/NLN/NLS clubs with running costs and an additional 3.6million to help community trusts.

Although it’s not been fairly distributed previously we can’t moan or complain about free cash for the club which I’m sure will be in the tens of thousands and must be a very welcome boost (and who knows we just may be able to sign that top striker now!).

True Glen (I'm sure you realised my post was in jest), although, it would be nice to see some fair distribution this time. Can't complain at all, but isn't there normally a grant from the prem that was messed about with during Covid? I wonder if this is something to do with that.
