I think I'll have to disagree with you there Shredding.

I think most clubs at NLS and NLN level would still beat the England women's national team.

I have a friend who is a Gillingham season ticket-holdet and has a degree in mathematics from Cambidge University. So expect an exact answer to the question I posed him.

Q : If you had carried out a survey of Gillingham supporters leaving Plough Lane last Saturday and asked them, "Would Gillingham beat England Women if they played them at Priestfield", what would the result of your survey have been?

A : Interesting question isn’t it. Sadly not one that will ever be answered. Could be interesting if the FA set up an exhibition game between England women and say, a non-league XI. Trouble is it would be a blow for women’s football if the non-leaguers ran out 4 or 5 goal winners!  So I can’t see such a match occurring.

Off the top of my head I reckon the level is roughly Conference Premier but with more skill and less physicality/aerial dominance. Outcome of a match would probably depend on the referee – what constitutes a fair challenge vs what constitutes a “shove”, etc!

Shredding, I've  thought that your previous comments on this matter were to be taken seriously, but with this, your latest outburst, I realise that you are just winding us up !

You had me going earlier I can tell you !

More skill in the England women's team than the National League Premier  :97:

As HR put it, you cannot be serious.

SG You start off saying you want an "exact answer to the question I posed him."

Then you pose a question; "Q : If you had carried out a survey of Gillingham supporters leaving Plough Lane last Saturday and asked them, "Would Gillingham beat England Women if they played them at Priestfield", what would the result of your survey have been?"

But the question you ask is based on opinion rather than fact - so it cannot be exact and has nothing to do with your "friend" who "has a degree in mathematics from Cambidge University".

Having just watched the highlights from the H&W v STFC game, no way could the England Women match the speed, strength, size and agression of either team.

Ah, but what about skill?

Those women have terrific dribbling skills.

Dorking manager Marc White has gone on record to admit that part of their gameplay against Chesterfield was to deliberately target and rile the keeper who is known to have anger management problems  he was sent off after 30 mins and Chesterfield had to play an outfielder in the 2-2 draw.Surely questions will be asked!

Just seen on the website about our new Mini Saver Ticket.

I think it's a great idea.

I'm not clear though if this is in the form of an actual physical "plastic ticket" like our normal season ticket, or something that is "downloaded" onto a smartphone.

Not everyone, myself included, has or wants a smartphone.

Sorry HR, I've just put this up as a new topic.

Reading the blurb I think it is by phone only.

Might be an idea to have an alternative for technophobes good people like yourself ?

It’s not a physical ticket but an ‘e-ticket’ which is scanned at the turnstiles for X matches from a smartphone (or perhaps can be printed onto paper at home - but not 100% sure on this bit).

Weymouth have announced that following a season in the NL they had amassed a debt of £112,000.

With only 2k in the bank they have had to rely on a 'rescue group' rustling up 100k by way of donations, investment and selling club shares.

Well thats one relegation placed filled.

With most if not all the debt wiped out they still get decent attendances and are still saying they will back the manager with signings and loans if necessary.

What odds leaders Barnet for the National League title?

No problem with scoring goals here. Barnet have scored twice in each of their three opening matches.

Skybet are offering an incredibly generous 150:1 with a maximum stake of £20 for Barnet to win the National League title.

Amazingly, skybet are also offering 150:1 with a maximum stake of £15 for Slough Town to win the National League South title.

Barnet's odds should be about 250/1 and Slough should be about 5,000/1.

Not negative just realistic.

Remember Reading Rebel that Barnet won the Conference/National League title in the 1990/1, 2004/5 and 2014/5 seasons.
