Chelmsford City, Concord Rangers, Slough TownTonbridge Angels and Welling United are all 50:1 with SkyBet.

I am thinking about choosing a winner from those five!

50/1 are ridiculously skinny odds for any one of those clubs to win the league.

If they were 5,000/1 it might be worth a couple of quid ?

He was at league clubs mainly as a youngster.

His clubs in recent seasons have mainly been Woking and as you say Aldershot.

Still a very good signing for Ebbsfleet who are favorites at 9/2 to win the league followed by Dartford at 8/1 and Havant at 12/1.

RR  Are we still coming in at 50-1?

Clubs odds vary with different Bookmakers.

Our longest odds are 50/1 and 33/1 with others.

Ebbsfleet are as low as 5/2 with some whilst Worthing are as low as 8/1 third favorites with some bookies.

Rank outsiders are Welling, Cheshunt, Braintree and surprisingly Bath at 66/1.

Surprised to see us predicted 3rd!

Despite RRs following post, I see the predictions on the above website as written by someone who knows what a Bakes and Unders team is, knows that Bakes and Unders are at Slough Town with a purpose with the backing of the Steering Group and that Slough is a town which is deserving of a club at at least National League level.

I don't think Paul Doswell will find the post laughable ... he knows what's coming!!!

When you say 'deserving' you mean a town the size of Slough should have a club in the NL?

I did write "at least National League level" RR.

Here are a range of comparisons :-

     7,761 : Nailsworth - League One
  25,681 : Fleetwood - League One
  33,916 : Morecambe - League One
72,299 : Burton upon Trent - League One
  89,500 : Stevenage - League Two
102,300 : Watford - Championship
118,500 : Crawley - League Two
123,317 : High Wycombe - League One
160,800 : Harrogate - League Two
164,739 : Slough - National League South
192,700 : Colchester - League Two

I like your postivity,Shredding Green but I do think you are in the 'wishful thinking' bracket, rather than the 'reality' bracket !

As I wrote in an earler post, "No disrespect to Ben Harris???, but imagine Beth Mead wearing the Slough Town number 9 shirt!!!"

The reality is that top women's football is now way above the level of National League South.

Have a look at this 3spirit
- the Beth Mead opener against Sweden in the semi-final after 1 minute 15 seconds of these highlights :-

TBH I don't think any club 'deserves' to be at any level of football based solely on the size of population.

I think I'll have to disagree with you there Shredding.

I think most clubs at NLS and NLN level would still beat the England women's national team.

RR, I was born in Rochester and as several generations of my father's family had lived in the Medway towns, I was brought up on Gillingham FC.

England, France, Germany, Netherlands and Spain really stood out for me in the 2022 Women's Euro Finals. I considered them to very well organised teams playing with the energy and quality of about mid-table in League One.

If you watch the Sky Sports highlights on YouTube of five of Gillingham's 2021/2 home matches you will either see what I mean or disagree :-

18.9.21 : Gillingham 1 MK Dons 4
  8.1.22 : Gillingham 0 Ipswich Town 4
29.1.22 : Gillingham 2 Oxford United 7 (this really is essential viewing!)
18.4.22 : Gillingham 0 Fleetwood Town (the match that Gillingham had to win to avoid relegation)
19.5.22 : Gillingham 0 Sheffield Wednesday 0

You might argue that the play in League One is physically stronger and more demanding, but those five teams I mentioned in the Women's Euro didn't allow the opposition much space and they had speed and quality on the ball.

In any type of competitive environment, teams at Step 5 would beat the England women's team RR.

USA lost to Dallas under 15's boys team, Australia lost to an under 15's team and I'm sure we have all seen the footage at some point of Zaha taking on 11 women to 1 and scoring.

Not a knock on women's football, just the reality of the situation.

Important attributes in adult football are speed, strength, acceleration & physique, which are all aspects where men have a genetic advantage.

We don’t and shouldn’t look at athletes, weightlifters, gymnasts or swimmers & contemplate how the women would fair against the men & it isn’t right to do so with football either.

There will with few exceptions (i.e. equestrian sports) always be men’s elite sport & women’s elite sport, & at this particular time we should be celebrating that we have the best women’s national football team in Europe, and their success has the potential to engage and interest a much wider demographic in football.
