Leatherhead were certainly the "highest" relegated team at the end of the season Neil. I think Kings Langley won on the last day 2-0 (1-0 would have saved Leatherhead).

Will be interesting to see how they deal with it, reprieve Leatherhead or run 1 short. With the restructures, who knows?

You would have thought that a deal with Kingstonian would be the answer,as Kingstonian haven't a ground and are sharing with Tooting this season,and they also have money to invest which came by them from the AFC Wimbledon deal. They could even make a three way merger with what's left of Staines Town[ the fans not the owner].

Reading the statement on various twitter feeds and the website it seems they tried quite a few ideas to save the club or some form of it but nothing came forward. Shame to see a non-league team going out of business in any league, but one so local and close by that I've certainly seen last year is a stark reminder of what can happen to clubs.

Merthyr Town have been reprieved due to the demise of Walton Casuals.

I saw that RR, to be honest that's, IMO, just putting off the relegation for a season as the Methyr we saw at Beaconsfield towards the end of the season were a poor shell of the club I remember from our battles with them. The mothballed Covid season was obviously a massive problem for the club and sometimes IMO a relegation for a side can help, and that would be the case for them. Still I'm sure the FA know best???

According to Ollie Bayliss the league took the decision to reprieve Merthyr instead of Leatherhead to 'minimize disruption to the pyramid'.

Merthyr Town and Walton Casuals were in the same division so the decision appears to be the correct one.

Presumably this sort of decision must be within the league rules rather than reprieve a club that points wise deserved to be reprieved.
