Oh right so you know for sure too or just believe everything you’re told. Nothing to do with conforming to anything, it’s quite simple in one fan stating they know something more than another fan then not sharing, can you not understand in the slightest how that could be frustrating? It’s hardly top secret material but I guess to some knowledge is power?

Glen, because CR knows who Footyfan007 is gives him the knowledge to know that he's telling the truth.

So what’s your reason for not wanting to share your information with fellow fans? We’d all be interested to know?

Expected response… it’s fine if you feel you’re not able to reply constructively.

I see your point but also respect what I can and can't say, just the respectful person that I am.  My point was clearly reflecting Neil and Jon had already secured young players that had firm offers, demonstrating their achievements during pre season whilst commentary was made about securing new additional players based on an 11 the CR had mentioned.

I hope that is a satisfying answer as I come in peace!

Yeah I had gathered that RR. Anyway they’re not going to spill so pointless wasting anymore time on it.

Ok I won’t push any further, you have your reasons and we’ll leave it there.

So Dobbo has left Hemel.

Presumably we'd all love to see him back in a Rebels shirt?

Depends on how his injury situation is plus he hasn’t played much in the last season. If he did re-sign I guess we shouldn’t expect the same Dobbo as the one who left us? But if he was affordable and could prove his fitness then yeah it’s worth a punt.

So you did not read my actual response then as what you have quoted was not my response.

Would 100% have Dobbo back for a couple of reasons;

- I think he would adapt into a good attacking central Midfielder (as I put on the other thread)

- I think his dead ball kicking (both corners and freekicks) is something (apart from Worsfold) that has been dramatically lacking in recent seasons.

- he is a fan favourite and we know he is a player that'll give 100% effort for the team, even if he can't play at full pace for 90 minutes.

Just for set pieces he’s worth signing as he scored a few crackers in his time with us. Even if he’s used as an impact sub it could work out well. I’m sure Hollis is one or the two mentioned ‘familiar faces’ but Dobbo is a strong shout for the second possibility, who else could it realistically be?

CR, I didn't say you knew each other just that you know who Footyfan007 is.

Either that or you have other inside information to say that it was true.

Or was it just a blind guess.

George Wells is a possibility.

Agree about his free kicks, corners, crosses etc.

The negatives for Dobbo is his tendency to drop his head and sulk if a move breaks down instead of reacting like Warren Harris did and fight/chase to get the ball back.

Even though Wells was released I just think he won’t be affordable even if he’s prepared to take a drop in wages. I’d love to see him back as he was such a powerful player who had a very good shot on him.

Grimsby return to the Football League after a single season in the National League. They did it the hard way though, finishing sixth in the league & winning all three play-off matches in extra time.

I’m always a bit disappointed when clubs go straight back up as I tend to think there is very little difference in the quality of the National League & League Two, but there are still a lot of big clubs that haven’t managed to move back up….. Wrexham, Notts County, Stockport, Chesterfield & Southend…. and Oldham are joining them this season.

Stockport County won the 2021/2 National League and were promoted to the EFL League Two.

Perhaps you meant Torquay United as the other big club, Curtis. ?

Apologies, yes they did, somehow they have remained a big club despite being relegated from the Football League 11 years ago, and even falling into the National League North.

Matt Briggs, one player that slipped through our net.
