Looks like Maidstone might have to replace there 3G pitch after five years and not the lifespan of eight years that was expected at the time of installation.

Thats good news for such alot of money invested.

I see Scott Harris has duel registered with Ashford and scored today in their 6-4 win over Knaphill.

Also ex rebel Seb Costello featured for Knaphill.

When Seb was with us he was on the fringes of the first team and looked a promising young player. He has dropped down the divisions and on the surface it seems that his game hasn't progressed and has in fact gone backwards which would be a great shame.

Yep Scott go a 90 minutes under his belt once our game was called off, made sense as the game was on, is round the corner from him, and we need him fit, as he has a big part to pay between now and the end of the season.

But what if he had sustained a serious injury ?

You could say the same thing if any player played for us, it's risk you take by playing football....also how long would it take for people to complain about Scott Harris not looking match fit given his lack of games next Saturday if he didn't have a good game?

The managers' policy of getting game time for players is well established.

Hayes and Yeading have signed Darren Purse and Ashley Lodge.

Good signings IMO.

Purse is 39/40 I think and has been playing in the league below us so find it difficult to see how he's suddenly good enough for a team 2 leagues higher? Lodge again has been playing a league lower than H&Y and although was decent a while ago not so sure he's upto Conf South level?

Fair point Glen but Darren Purse's experience and his reading of the game can be big benefit, as proven at Chesham. Must admit didn't realise he was that old, though.

Ashley Lodge is very good player. Definitely worth taking a chance on him. Wouldn't mind either of them at Slough.
