Ryan Hope has made a massive leap from Southall to sign for Hemel. You have to hand it to his agent, he’s done some tremendous work there…

If that is the standard of Hemels signings, they will be im trouble next season.

Saw Hope play a couple of times towards the end of the season and he struggled at Step 5, looked over weight and off the pace.

Shocking thread on the finances at Ebbslfleet Utd....

That is madness. £25k a week losses for any club is poor, but one at our level, not making the top 2 in the division and then a loss in the playoff final!!!! With that amount of money spent they should have had 10x better players than they did.

At the time Ryan Hope was one of the Slough players 3spirit rated highly.

Big time charlie who thought he was so good in Div 1 he got himself an agent, his brother I think, instead of getting more money got him a move to Kings Langley ?

Midfielder Sam Deadfield has left Hampton to join another NLS club.

He would be a decent replacement if Aaron Kuhl was to leave.

A player I would like to have seen at Slough, left back Ruaridh Donaldson has signed another contract for Hampton.

Yes I did rate Ryan Hope highly and was disappointed when he left Slough. I would like to see him get on at Hemel Hempstead FC, as I had a short chat with him at a Beaconsfield game a few seasons ago and he came across as a nice lad. He went out of his way to say hello to me, unlike some of these poseur non-league footballers who think they are a cut above fans.

As Mark Jones is the manager at Hemel now, he isn't anyone's fool, so perhaps he's seen something in Ryan to take a chance on. Playing for Southall to playing for Hemel is chalk and cheese,so perhaps Ryan Hope knows he will have to get a lot fitter and in better shape to make the first team at Hemel but if he can, what has Mark Jones got to lose by giving him a chance?

Obviously Ryan Hope was badly advised by his agent when he was with Slough but I can't see why Slough fans have a downer on him,as he played well in the Slough side and always seemed to give 100%, something you couldn't say about every player we've ever recruited.

Tyler Goodrham was voted Hayes & Yeading United Goal of The Season for his 45th minute strike against Dorking Wanderers in the FA Cup 4th Qualifying Round replay :-

I'm not saying Sam Deadfield couldn't do a job for Slough but of the games I've seen him in, I've never been over impressed with him but judging any player on a few games here and there is never very wise. It's a bit like Josh Casey at Woking, loads of Woking fans love him, yet when I've seen Woking fc I've never seen him have a good game, and if anything can't see what the fuss about him is for.

You obviously didn’t read the part where it mentioned the other NLS club offered a substantial package that Hampton couldn’t compete with. So it’s 100% not us!

Quite possibly Farnborough given the distance. Other contenders who have the finances are Havant, Dartford, Ebbsfleet, Oxford and Dulwich.

Havant have put on their twitter feed that new signings will be announced next week.

Hopefully Aaron Kuhl is not one of them.

Having said that I'll be glad to get this 'is he staying or going' saga out of the way.

There’s no dressing it up for me, if Aaron goes it’s a massive loss and we don’t have the funds to sign a like for like replacement. It wouldn’t surprise me if he’s not replaced and we just get on with it. I’m hoping he can give us one more season as a sort of thank you for giving him a chance at this level after his injury’s record. Also hoping by this time next week we would have heard some news on new signings as I’m sure pre season training will start in only around 3 weeks.

The thing is how long can we be left in limbo waiting for a players decision.

Ok players will become available over the next month or so and you could strike it lucky but in the main I'd say targeting players you want or need is the best way to build a squad.

Just to be really clear with the Kuhly situation he is not chasing money and is not leaving us in limbo or messing us around.

He is a brilliant lad and we have a great relationship with him and are talking regularly. However sometimes situations aren’t as simple as they might appear and we can’t always tell the supporters everything but in the right time his situation will be announced, along with other things that are being worked on right now.
