On the subject of limited budget it looks like the season ticket pricing policy of the club may well limit Neil and Jon's playing budget.

Slough Town FC are by far the lowest price season tickets announced so far, as can be seen from the table below.

So of those listed the other teams will have an average income from each season ticket of £238 early bird / £284 full.

Club Early bird Full
Slough 195 230
Ebbsfleet 225 250
Farnborough 220 276
Eastbourne N/A 275
Chippenham 255 275
Hungerford 210 N/A
Braintree 270 300
Bath 240 275
Welling 225 N/A
Dover 250 331
Weymouth 250 290

Surprised to see that Braintree are the dearest early bird season ticket and second dearest full ticket.

I suppose only time will tell if the decision to keep our prices the same will bring in the punters.

It has to be said that I don't think we're helping ourselves with the lack of any good news to persuade those sitting on the fence.

Should the ground be put up for sale, I would hope that a co-ordinated effort by management and fans would ensure that it be purchased.

Think your hope is very wishful thinking SG!

Slough have signed Mr Blobby, Boris Johnson's hairdresser, Harry Hill, Jake The Peg with the extra leg, Grayson Perry,Johnny Depp, and left back in the changing room Prince Andrew.?

Sounds like good signings.

Mr Blobby will be a useful big man at the back, hopefully he will not give away silly penalties though. Boris Johnson's hairdresser should be a snip at the price we have paid for him, Jake the Peg will be able to tackle well with the extra leg, never heard of Grayson Perry though. Johnny Depp is used to beating the opposition, perhaps Prince Andrew has been brought in to play in the hole.

of course our cause is not being helped by all the bad vibes being kicked about on here either?

Disagree HT and ill tell you for why.

This forum is probably filled with (realistically) 10-15 diehard STFC fans that post on a regular basis. Don't know about you, but negative, positive or otherwise we will buy a season ticket, 50/50 tickets, golden goals, programmes, sponsor matches, pay for parking, buying food and drink at the club on match days etc, etc.

I strongly doubt that anyone not fully interested in the club  would even be bothered to look for a forum, let alone go through all the posts and be effected by anything we say.

For the club officials etc that are on here and genuinely bless us with responses to our (mostly) genuine and honest questions and comments, they will correct us all (and have) when we are wrong but always show understanding to the points made.

If anything, I suspect the "negativity" raises some good questions for the club and fans to look at and start to work on.

I'm not negative about the season ahead. My glass is still half full.

It would have been nice to have heard about a couple of our signings by now but it isn't the end of the world that we haven't. I don't believe Arbour Park will be sold off, and if it is, we[all Slough fans] should discuss it when it happens. No point being a doom laden about it now.

I think we should stay positive because our club still have our knowledgable, good guy managers in place. They could easily have left by now, if they thought Slough Town FC were a lost cause but they haven't, so why fret when we are still months away from a National South league match.Let's wait and see how our squad pans out.

I'm still optimistic that Bakes and Unders can find some worthy new players, to add to what we already have, and in some ways I like upsetting the odds ie against teams like Dartford and Havant who splash the cash, and flash Harry teams like Farnborough, who want to storm the division.

Agree with the posts by Slough Flyer and 3Spirit, that there needs to be honest discussion on here, rather than bury our heads in the sand and hope the problems go away.

If you catch a problem in its infancy, it is easier to deal with, rather than once it has grown and established itself beyond the point that it cannot be cured.

What we don’t want to return to is the days of Martyn Deaner where he would always promise an answer in two weeks, and when that two weeks was up it was then another two weeks.

Continued silence or delay will lead to speculation.

Who hasn't?

They could have a squad of 24 if the players they’re awaiting to hear back from sign and of course they may still sign others. Surely a squad of 20 is sufficient otherwise you have a lot of unused/unhappy players and of course throwing money away.

They seemed to get a bit of a relationship with Leatherhead after Luke Tuffs took over later in the season. I guess if they have some players "spare" they could use Leatherhead as a "reserve team".

So SG do you have your £10,000 ready?

The ground and buildings would be at least £5,000,000 and we have 500 fans so ONLY £10,000 each!!!!!!!!

IMO it is unlikely that Arbour Park will be put up for sale.

But if it was, I would be extremely disappointed if for no other reason than finance, the board and fans just sat there and let someone else buy the ground.

Should the ground be put up for sale, I would be delighted to contribute £10,000 as long as that contributed to the deal being satisfactorily completed.

SG, it's madness to even consider the purchase of AP.

The figure of £10,000 per person will be a drop in the ocean to what in reality would be required.

£10k and a return? Or just donation?

Not for me in this World!

Arbour Park is on the Disposalable Assets List SG so it is up for sale!
