Farnborough have signed centre back Kevin Lokko from Aldershot. He has a couple of caps at England 'C' level but according to the Aldershot fans forum he has had injuries and has been in and out of the 'Shot's' team. Still, I don't suppose he is cheap.

Farnborough have also signed another defender called Ollie Robinson [aged 27] from Met Police fc.

Farnborough had an average attendance of 476 (and at a lower gate price) and can put together a team and announce it well before the end of May.

They have now got it out there on social media to promote season ticket sales.

So if a tin-pot team like Farnborough can do it, either they are being very bold, or they know what they are doing?

To be fair Clive they have a lot of private backing to be able to do this, and are paying their players more than we can, and are pretty much in for every player that you talk too, not every club however adopts the same strategy.

Dulwich who have the best crowds in the league for example, you will see very little come out from them until pre season.

We are not too far away from some announcements, potentially some by the end of this week coming.

Having followed the club from nearby and far away for around 60 years, the current management team have my utmost admiration for the frankness, patience and understanding they display in their dealings with supporters. I can think of many other managers over the years who would not have engaged so fully and openly in discussions of this kind.

Supporters on this forum have always been appreciative of our managers for interacting with them i.e. replying and answering any questions asked that they are able to and nipping in the bud any mis-information that could spread and potentially get out of hand.

As you say KGB not many if any of our past managers would have engaged with supporters to this degree.

Erm. Bromley 1 Wrexham 0. Well worked second half goal by Bromley. Seven minutes added time which saw a brilliant close-range save by the Bromley keeper, a near open goal miss from a Wrexham forward and finally a Wrexham goal disallowed (rightly from the look of it) for offside in the build-up. All this and a commentary in Welsh on SC4.

Was at both finals, really enjoyed the day. Newport Pagnell deserved winners of the Vase and Bromley held off anything Wrexham could offer. The Wrexham fans seem to think that promotion is more than likely, but judging on this game I'd say that any of their likely opponents can do what Bromley did and cause a surprise.

Big money signings aren't necessarily the answer in these one off games. Tozer with an absolutely massive long throw was increasingly turned to as the answer to breaking the Bromley defence, but it all became a bit one dimensional and Bromley deservedly won.

Didn't enjoy the abusing of the National Anthem by the Welsh, whereas the Welsh National Anthem was given some retaliatory abuse but nothing on the same scale.

Have to agree with you Bernie.

I was with the Littlehampton fans and they say they just didn't turn up. Newport Pagnell and Bromley deserved their victories.

The booing of the national anthem was very disappointing and should be highlighted by the press but somehow I don't think it will.

After the Bromley game i spoke to some Wrexham fans who were totally fed up with their team and said it they get to the play off final they aren't going.

Just waiting for the interview where Spencer states they have the lowest budget and aren’t big payers! I would have thought Freddie was on around £300 with us so I’d expect he’s on nearly double that with Farnborough.
