Tonbridge Angels have sacked manager Steve McKimm.

Steve has performed wonders at Tonbridge with limited resources available to him, I think this is a ridiculous decision taken by the Angels board which could easily back fire on them.

Steve McKimm has been named new manager of Carshalton Athletic.

Eastleigh have announced their retained and released list.Among those released are Tom Broadbent [centre half ex Hayes] and nippy young winger Sam Smart who played for Basingstoke.

Sam Smart has not really shined even while on loan at Havant, better wingers out there.

You missed out Harry Pritchard who's also been released.

Excellent player who's had a few injuries.

No doubt he'll try and go back to his old club Maidenhead.

I remember when we missed out on Prichard 10/11 years ago! Would love us to add him but doubt we’d have the money, maybe we should speculate a little more rather than being cautious

That must have been when Pritchard was at Burnham.

At the time weren't Burnham the bigger club with Ryan Bird and Adrian Sear part of their side?

As you say well out of our reach money wise and likely to go to M'head if they want him.

Hmmm they were when Jarvis was manager then Stone took over and I think Prichard was there when they were down the lower end but always bloody beat us. It was the following season they won the league!

Aldershot fans seem impressed by him, and even on the Eastleigh website [ under the squad players section] they refer to Sam Smart as being a fans favourite. The fact that Eastleigh didn't favour wingers later in the season may have more to do with his departure from there. Given he is still young-ish and can play on both flanks, I would have thought he would be exactly the sort of player Slough would be approaching. Not over expensive, been playing at different levels including above Conference South and has bags of potential for Bakes and Unders to improve and work with.

This is one I’m going to disagree with you on.  But that’s football we all have differing views and opinions.  That said you never know one season from another and what confidence can do for you.
