A couple of non league snippets

I agree that's historically accurate but our three meetings in the last twelve months have produced two draws and a comfortable win and currently no team in our division has got fewer away points.

They don't seem to give their managers enough time to get any better !

Plus whoever's running the show financially, they keep messing around the pay of the players that it upsets the apple cart every time, regardless of who the manager is, so it's hardly a surprise where they are in the division.

Thank God, Slough's run on a better basis.

Great guy, was very privileged to have his brother Martin as my teacher at St Ethelberts whilst he was managing us and so had the pleasure of Brian taking some of our PE lessons

Perhaps it will also help us in the ground opening situation with perhaps a Reading friendly......

Great to have ex Slough players and Managers in the limelight.

Brian knows Reading inside out.

We have been mentioned on the BBC website.

St Neots have announced the retirement of their Chairman Mike Kearns from all football related matters. He will still when able  support the club from the stands but his 92% share holding has been transferred to his son Lee Kearns  who will be allowed to dictate policy without interference( yeah right) This is not a surprise to many as his vile rants against any who criticise his increasingly bizarre policies has grown much worse recently and they have wasted a large number of catch up games and a play-off place looks increasingly unlikely.

3 Spirit Roll on Boxing Day theyve managed 1 win away and just 3 points all season

Chesham won yesterday, against a Stratford team who beat us at home, so it's looking like it's going to be another hard derby encounter on the aptly named Boxing Day fixture.

Hope our new players will be up for the challenge, as it may be lost on them, the significance of the match, in what will be a tough battle for bragging rights, to have over our rivals of this division.

Yes 3 Spirit but that was a home win and we must treat them with the respect we show all teams but facts are what they are  Chesham have a total of 25 points and are 1 point of the relegation group but their cup run has left them with a lot of games in hand so that may be a false position but of their 25 points 21 have been won at home just 4 away from home  the worst total in the league  and of course we have one of the best home records so I do think there is reason to be more than optimistic about Boxing Day.

Form tends to go out of the window in these derby matches. It's who wants it more on the day will be the victors!

Being only 10 minutes down the road Chesham should bring a few supporters so I'm not sure home advantage will count to any great degree.
