I’d be surprised to see him back, it’s likely we’re be more youthful next season and I feel we’ll be looking at younger wingers including what we currently have. Will be interesting to see if Leatherhead retain Max? Where is Dobbo these days and is he playing as I know he had an injury earlier in the season.

Dobbo was at the Hemel game, presumably he's still not fully recovered from his injury.

Harsh on Guy Hollis if Havant has got rid. I find it madness really,as Paul Doswell gave it all the big 'un about how great Guy is when he signed him, and by all accounts Guy played well on his debut but then unfortunately he gets  injured, and then has to be out for awhile, and when he gets back into the team Paul Doswell  makes Guy a scapegoat as being among those to get the blame for Havant's defeat to Maidstone !

How on earth can you make a judgement call like that? To me Guy Hollis needs games, he isn't a type of player that can just pick up where he left off as a centre back, like a player like Mark Nisbet could imo. Guy gets better with every game he plays regular,a game here and there isn't what he's about. I would be more than happy if Guy Hollis is back with Slough next season. He may make the odd ricket but he gives 100% when he plays and to me is a reliable player.

Dos can't make Guy Hollis a scapegoat for Hemel Hempstead Town's 0-4 home defeat to Maidstone United!!!???

Here's Hakan Hayrettin's post match interview after Maidstone United 4 Havant & Waterlooville 0 on 2nd April :-

I was told it was more of a falling out between Guy and Doswell than anything to do with how he's been playing.

You were mis informed…. Guy has had no falling out, his work situation has changed again, and is unable to commit to full time training, he remains signed on for Havant in an emergency for the rest of this season as he can not sign anywhere else, all very amicable.

Good when you have the inside information.

Neil, does that mean he won't be playing for Havant next season ! ?

The people in the north showed a lot more interest in the play-offs at this level :-

Hayes & Yeading United  2  Weston Super Mare  1  last evening in the Southern League Premier South Division play-offs semi-final before 607 at The SKYex. They are hoping for 1,500 against Farnborough in the final on Monday.

The other semi-final ended Farnborough  2  Metropolitan Police  1 (aet) before 947.

In the Northern Premier League semi-final play-offs. 2,014 at Mariners Park : South Shields  1  Warrington Town  1  (Warrington Town won 5-6 on penalties).

The other semi-final ended Scarborough Athletic  2  Matlock  1  before 2,676 at The Flamingo Land Stadium.

Isn't that on a par with most attendances at clubs in the North compared to the South?

Being a near 5 hour round trip on a Tuesday night not sure how many Weston fans made the journey to Hayes.

As for Met Police they are a very poorly supported club so no surprise the gate didn't go above the thousand mark.

There was 2 supporters coaches and a decent number of Weston fans there last night RR.

To compare, the attendance when the 2 sides met in Jan (11th) there was 192 there.

TBH, we thought there was more than 607 there last night. Looked way more throughout the ground.

Was a decent game and Hayes 100% deserved to win the match. With a bit calmer finishing they would have scored 5/6. From what I've seen this season, Hayes and Farnborough 100% deserve to be in the final and I would make Hayes favs to win it and joi  us next year (Boxing Day and NYD).

Hayes is closer than Farnborough but for size of support and quality of ground I think I'd prefer to be playing Farnborough next season.

Being that he's banged in 40 goals this season to become their record scorer ever over one season what's your view on Moses Emmanuel?

Whats your view on Francis Amartey do you think he's improved since leaving us?

Tough choice between those two. Farnborough have a couple of ex Rebels who I am still fond of whereas I could probably walk down the grand union canal to watch Hayes if I wanted. Shame we are playing on the same day as I'd have probably gone to the game.

The Weston away support was outstanding filling three coaches. Crowd was roughly 407 U 'As and 200 Weston. What was deceptive was the main stand only being about 30% full as normally on match days the bulk of the crowd sits in the main stand.

1. Moses Emmanuel - clearly knows where the goal is?. For a smaller guy he is decent in the air (a bit like Warren Harris). Quite quick, but not as quick as Amarty.

2. Francis Amarty - good finisher on the while. Still very quick and makes excellent runs at times. Has improved since he left us but not loads IMO

IMO - both are excellent in the southern prem (not a massively controversial take that one??) but I'm not so sure they will be anywhere near as successful in the conference south. They both want too much time on the ball and, especially Amarty can be very lazy at times. Conference South defences will cope with them both very well (assuming Hayes win the final and they both stay of course). They are IMO those types of players that are "tweener" players. Too good for Prem, not good enough for South (for those that watch Binfield frequently, Sean Moore is the same. A star at step 5, ok at step 4).

Not that I am going to weigh in just yet on my thoughts on the team / squad for next year, except to say, I think we need 2 conference South quality strikers for the squad and neither of these 2 would be of list.

(No doubt Hayes will get promoted and both will score 30+ goals next season now I've said the above???).

The match report on the Hayes & Yeading United FC website states 607.

I didn't say "hallo" to you last evening as you were clicking very frequently!

I haven't noticed any dissent and foul language from Frances this season so I think that side of his game has improved considerably since his first two seasons at Hayes & Yeading United when both dissent and foul language were extremely noticeable.
