A couple of non league snippets

Just been reading the Chippenham Gazzette.

Chippenham will be going all out for a big win against Maidstone on saturday in the FA CUP they will be hoping to get one of the big boys from Wiltshire in the 1st round proper.

If it.s a draw will the replay be next week if so our league game will be off.

Seems Corby's Ashley Sammons hasn't got the stomach for a relegation battle. He's been caught talking (illegally) to his former club Redditch behind the Corby managers back and will possibly never play for Corby again.

 

The sticking point for him returning to Redditch is that he is seen as a prize asset and will command a fee which Redditch apparently can't afford.

 

Mind you if somehow Redditch get Sammons back I'd make them favourites to win the league.

Chippenham had a crowd of over 800 for th FA Cup game the reports say they played very well against Maidstone.

 

Tuesdays game will still be very tough for us and we must be at our best to get a result as they will want to get back to winning ways quickly.

King's Lynn L 2-0 (a) sat

Kettering W 2-1 (a) tues

Stratford D 1-1 (a) sat

Wymouth D 1-1 (h) tues

They've only won 1 home League game (Merthyr 1-0) since 29th August

It goes,

I see Cambridge City have realeased one of there strikers Andrew Philips was a sub on saturday.

He joined March 2014 has been a big player for them but has not worked out as well this season.

 

As we have found out this season past form and quality is not good enough for the present and future of a club.

Ashley Sammons has been fined two weeks wages and had his contract ripped up by Corby.

 

Expect him to turn up at Redditch who will then take some stopping in the title race.
