Have a listen to the Southport manager at 1.46 who imo is spot on with his very critical opinions of the NL.

Slough Town's longest scheduled league away trip this season is Eastbourne Borough.

Southport have Boston United, Brackley Town, Gloucester City, Hereford, Kettering Town and Kidderminster Harriers!

Although all very pleasant days out for supporters when they are allowed!

Like Slough Town, starting with Tuesday 9th, Southport have 28 league matches left to play in 110 days. I can see the point that even if testing and funding are resolved, that schedule is causing new pressures in addition to basic safety issues. Extending this season would then put pressure on when to begin the 2021/22 season.

Will Brian Barwick speak and bring everyone together at the end of the day? He is a key figure both in Association Football and Rugby League, the latter for which he is chairman of this year's World Cup.

Politics!!!

Our game with Ebbsfleet tomorrow night has now officially been confirmed as cancelled.

Ebbsfleet have re-arranged a home game with Hampton. Looking at the weather I'll be surprised if it goes ahead.

Chelmsford v Billericay tonight and tomorrows games at Concord, Welling and Maidstone have been postponed due to the weather.

From what clubs have openly stated regarding their voting intentions it looks like:-

National South 11 to continue 7 to end (St Albans, Hampton & Braintree yet to comment)

National North 4 to continue 10 to end (8 yet to comment)

So overall combined North & South currently looks like 17-15 in favour of ending with 11 still to announce their preference.

Too close to call at present?

It's 50/50.

Making a few assumptions I make it 22 for null and void and 21 against.

As at 1500 there is just 1 out of 10 NLN games still on and 4 out of 10  NLS games  with pitch inspections  still awaited

There are no NLN games on tonight.

The two remaining ones according to the BBC site at Kettering and Farsley were never going ahead due to both clubs refusing to play until the current financial mess is sorted out.

Ollie Bayliss has now tweeted that Jim Parmenter, who recently resigned as a Director of the National League Board, believes clubs will be breaching League rules by taking loans from Sport England.
