You have changed your tune over the safety of the club staff!

I knew you would see my argument was the right one.

No I haven”t, I tried highlighting to you & the club on here that this virus discriminates according to age, & that players & others under 45 are at little risk, but older people at very high risk.

If it still upsets you when I state this refer to the chart Chris Whitty presented yesterday on age related illness & death.

For those that are interested Marc White at Dorking has this morning done another interview on their twitter page giving his current vocal views on the current situation.

I fully agree with his point of view.

But Dorking Wanderers FC are in a very different situation to Slough TowFC despite being in the same division.

Slough is renoun for being a very difficult town in which to find corporate sponsorship.

I hardly find a 10 years loan at 2% pa interest with an initial repayment holiday of 2 years frightening. If properly handled, it should be of benefit to a club over the 10 years.

Another one who should not be allowed anywhere near large amounts of money. Stick to your vuvuzela.

Your sarcasm will get you nowhere.

If you had any financial brain, you would realise that in the latter years of the loan repayments, in real terms they will most likely be less, unless there is a depression for several years in which the purchasing power of money increases. I think it is 90 years since that was last the case.

The next round of the FA Trophy takes place on Saturday  Four of the teams (including H&W and Maidstone from our league) are currently refusing to play an y league games but happy to participate in these games  Anyone else surprised at that?

The trouble is SG no one knows what the future holds and over a 10+ year period clubs can and do get relegated and slip down the pyramid.

So what is affordable today can suddenly become a noose around a clubs neck at a future date.

If the vote is to carry on with the season the initial loan would have to cover Jan/Feb/March, what happens in April, May and possibly June if supporters are not back?

No, they will receive prize money whether they win or lose which is likely to cover the costs involved in playing.

There is very little if any revenue for most clubs playing league matches without fans attending.

So money is more important than the safety of teams officials and volunteers??

I don’t think either Havant or Maidstone have said they are refusing to play league games, originally Havant said they were self isolating for 10 days, however I think their intention currently is to continue, Maidstone I don’t think are happy with the situation but again not seen anything to suggest they will not be playing league games (unless I have missed something)

Just for the record, I began articles in Slough in 1969, qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1975 working for a subsidiary of Babcock and Wilcox 1973-1976, worked in many countries of the world for a subsidiary of British Airways which was sold to STC and then on to BT 1977-1985 and managed my own accountancy practice 1985-2010.

So next time we meet at Arbour Park, we could have a discussion more worthy of our own abilities and knowledge than a brief slagging match on the Slough TowFC fans forum!

I suggest that you pose that question to Boris at his next Press Conference!

I personally feel that the combined success of the long national lockdown and vaccination roll out with the April to June period when the virus is naturally less active would enable the season to be completed with crowds if there were two teams willing to play each match.

Dean Brennan left Wealdstone immediately because he was informed his contract wasn't being renewed in the summer.

Have to say the reason given by Wealdstone for his departure is a strange one:

'The board were concerned over some controllable aspects of the first team'

RR A statement made by DB is on page 3  of the Deano Gone thread of the Wealdstone fans forum Has a lot to say about events over a few months  Could any of our computer savvy members put it on here??

Bath City have now officially announced that they will not be playing their home fixture with Ebbsfleet tomorrow.

In their statement they say that over the past few seasons they have managed to reduce their debt from 139k to 20k and have no intention of taking on further debt.

They also say that they have an outstanding debt of £1m which they intend to pay of with the proposed development project which has been delayed due to planning issues.
