I see Burnham lost at Slimbridge 2-0 in South West League on 7th Oct in front of 51 how do these clubs survive and how many of these paid minus club officials.

They can survive either being 'bankrolled', not paying their players or a thriving social/commercial set up. I doubt any at that level have season ticket holders but I'm sure they include any complimentary tickets in the published attendances which means even less money for the club.

without these other streams and the committed people like our own involved non league football would be in an even worse position just makes you wonder how many more years it can survive.

I saw Slimbridge beat Swindon Supermarine a week ago a good team even with out any football on Sky on tuesday people still won.t come out and it was a warm evening.

I suppose the Rugby was on.

The thing is it is not just about the game you get out meet new people have a beer socalise have a laugh and get new friends just a shame people don.t get it.

I had Sky for the cricket golf and tennis for summer rang them up last week to cancel it they were abit stunned even offered to reduce price from £25 to £12.50 still told them not interested i said i will go to the pub socalise and watch a football match of my choice when i want and sign up for those sports again next summer..

A pity more people don.t do this.

I see HW are away to Sandhurst Town in a cup game on Tuesday. I might just pop along to see how Ed Smith is progressing.
