Although our tier number is being reviewed on Wednesday 16th I think the chances of us visiting Arbour Park any time soon are very slim The most recent infection rate for Slough from government website is 407 per 100000  far too high for a change to tier 2

Adrian, I don't think it's as high as that.

I think it's somewhere in the high 200's.

Probably still too high to go down a tier.

Here are the latest rates of cases of Covid-19 in Berkshire.

The figures are the number of infections per 100,000 people in the seven days up to and including 8 December.

The breakdown of the figures by local authority area is:

  • Slough - 284.9 (up from 267.5)
  • Windsor and Maidenhead - 110.9 (up from 101.7)
  • Reading - 199.0 (up from 144.6)
  • Wokingham - 162.5 (up from 112.8)
  • Bracknell Forest - 196.7 (up from 103.6)
  • West Berkshire - 96.6 (up from 51.1)

For comparison, the figure for England is 165.9 (up from 151.1).

It is worse for Slough than that now, as these are the figures posted today

Slough, 295.6, (442), 250.1, (374)

The number of infections were going down as well

RR sorry  the figure I quoted was for 17-21 year olds on the 10th December.  There are large variations in the infection rates in the various age groups  but almost certainly too high to get us into tier 2

Went to Bracknell, as I live within walking distance of the ground. Actually it was 3-1 until the last kick when Bracknell were awarded a penalty from which they scored. A very spirited display from the home side, but they never looked like upsetting the full timers Havant. At 1-1 it could have been a penalty shoot out lottery chance for Bracknell, but once the 2nd & 3rd goals went in the game was wrapped up. I can't recall a second half chance for the home side despite their hustle and bustle.

McLennan played last night so I guess he must have served his ban on Saturday (after being sent off against us last Wednesday).

Nice to be at a live game for once!

I think the ban starts 7 days from the offence.

Good effort from Bracknell considering they were down to 10 men on 36 minutes.

No stopping Dartford in their spending to win the title.

They have now signed Nassim L'Ghoul from Bromley.

Their fans forum says he was absolutely useless until pulled off and his replacement even worse  Interesting that there is a reference to the number of Haringey supporters in the ground with their banners!

Get Steve King as manager and up goes the spending on playing staff along with the expectation of promotion. His previous club Welling had Jebb & L'Ghoul as well and made the playoffs. This man's record on promotions and play offs is unsurpassed, but it does come with a financial commitment, ask Lewes, Farnborough, Whitehawk.

TBF he only signed the other day and was thrown straight in so nothing should be taken from the fact that he might have had a bad game.

No doubting he is a quality player at his best. Steve King got the best out of him at Welling and I'm sure he'll do it again for Dartford.

Just read their forum and as far as I can see only 1 say's he was a waste of time.

The vast majority said he was excellent and was voted in their after match poll equal MOTM with two others.

Sounded like some game at Wealdstone in the Trophy.

Having missed a first half penalty Wealdstone found themselves 3-0 down at half-time.

With the scores level at 3-3 after 90 minutes Wealdstone took a 4-3 lead in time added on only for Eastleigh to be awarded a penalty to level it up which unfortunately for them they missed.

RR  As always time will tell  You have to ask why King replaced him if he was doing well no mention of any injury  He was one of three players who achieved a massive  4 votes  Fact is that their overall performance was so poor most forum members didnt bother to reply.

They could of replaced him for any reason not just because he was not playing well.

Vast majority on their social media are saying he had a good game so I'd rather take their views than the odd one or two others.

Besides I think that anyone who has seen him play knows that at this level he's a very good player and that most managers, if they could afford him, would like him in their squad.
