Rumored to be announced by Boris today that in the new tiers 1 and 2 clubs will be allowed to let supporters in at 50% capacity up to a maximum of 2,000.

I've also heard that from a few sources but tier 3 still zero We may get a situation where fans cant watch their home games but can watch their away games!

I dont think the details have been fully explained yet C'est la vie  but if tier 3 is as before you cant leave your tier area except for essential reasons and I doubt if watching a football match will be treated as essential let's wait and see the fine tuned proposals

It will be interesting to see how "supportive" Maidenhead's local council will be when compared with, say, Slough and South Bucks Councils when faced with a similar possible development back in the day. It would seem difficult to sell them the land, having already got a good idea of their proposals to develop it, and then to refuse them planning permission to do so.

Anyone on here remember a chap called Mal ( I think) who supported Marine and used to attend Slough home games in the 80's?

The Government have issued their version of War and Peace on the rules clubs must abide by regarding letting fans into stadiums.

They have stated that away fans are not allowed to attend.

No mention of neutrals.

Tonight's games between Billericay v Chelmsford and Maidenhead v Dover have been called off due to outbreaks of Covid 19.

To stop any abuse presumably clubs would have to produce some sort of medical certificate and not just make a phone call to have a game called off.

It is not that simple RR, and why I said all along it can be open to abuse, for example we had a genuine situation last week where we had someone in our changing room who has close contact with all the players, who lives with someone who tested positive on the Sunday night (and randomly was involved at Ebbsfleet) , therefore Monday morning he had to arrange a test himself, whilst at the same time we were all made aware and told to isolate until we had a positive or negative result, which is usually more than 24 hours.

Therefore when the test is booked for midday on a Monday therefore the game on the Tuesday needed to be called off, as we are in a global pandemic where the only thing is to make sure people are not unnecessarily spreading the virus, and being in football changing rooms, going back home , work etc, is irresponsible.

However amazingly (when he shares a bed with said person)  that test came back late Tuesday evening negative, meaning we could come out of isolation (by which point it was too late to train that evening) obviously the person in question has to self isolate for two weeks because of his partner, but we no longer did.

However from our point of view all we have is a negative test result, and medical information is confidential, so the league can not be in a position to demand.

This will continue to happen no doubt whilst the virus is so prevalent, and there is not much we can do, I guess as a club you could turn a blind eye to it, and ignore, but that is just irresponsible, and we just have to be honest and let our COVID officer know whenever there is a potential breach, and then a decision will be made.

It is what it is, the strangest football season ever, and that probably won’t change anytime soon unfortunately.
