A few more FA Cup results:

Our old friends Chesham lost 6-5 on penalties at Hastings.

Shredding Greens second favourite team Hayes and Yeading had a good 2-1 win at Margate.

After what must of been a 5 hour round trip Scott Davies and his Biggleswade side lost 5-1 at Leiston.

A 90 mile journey shouldn’t take 2 1/2 hours?

Looks like the draw for the next round of the FA Cup has been put back to Friday.

I wonder if this has anything to do with National League meeting tomorrow.........

Seems a bit ridiculous, as it stands, if we get drawn away to a lower league side we can go else.........

Also, a very good point made by someone on twitter (possibly one of our managers).....if players cannot play at step two then those players will just drop to step three to get a game. I get there are measures in place for a reason but just doesn't seem to be any consistency

No I will watch marine when they play at home as I am missing bring at a game they have a good team like to see them do well.

When I lived in eton wick and slough no way would I go and watch another team in berkshire once I went with dad to see maidenhead play harwich and parkeston in 1970s/80s when slough did not have a game only the Rebels for us.

How things change

glen it took me over three hours to do the 17 miles between croydon and greenford the other day, distance is no guarantee on how long lt will take you to cover the distance?.

Ok HT it’s just that nothing was mentioned regarding any issues so naturally anyone would question why it took so long.

Unfortunately it looks like the Government are doing their best to pass the buck to the Premier League.

Ok the premier League might have a moral obligation to bail out lower league clubs but the buck stops with the Government.

Strange how whenever the Government want to fund something the old magic money tree suddenly appears from nowhere.

How can football expect to be bailed out by the Government when the Premier League will have paid out over £800 million on just the top 22 players in the latest transfer window?

The Government has also already funded numerous football clubs who have been using the furlough scheme. I am assuming we have like most National League clubs done so.

It is time for the Premier League to decide whether they wish to financially support the pyramid structure we have, and if they don’t then local clubs will have to be innovative about ways to fund themselves through this crisis.
