Just to nip this one in the bud very quickly we have a behind closed doors training game tomorrow night and are looking for a left back and centre back to play in that game only to enable us to rest Wellsy, Guy and Birdy, that is all.

 

We now have this sorted anyway.


With the current best defensive record in the league we have no plans to sign any defenders.

Straight out of the traps on that one Jon! Are we pursuing any attacking players?

A very good use of 'photoshop', if I may say so.  The military cap does more for him than his usual baseball cap !!

The Chelmsford Chairman has made a statement saying that previous manager Rod Stringer wasn't on a contract and whoever their new manager is won't be on a contract.

Apparently he doesn't believe in giving a manager a contract because he thinks managers only want a contract if they think they are not confident of delivering.

Apparently their preferred choice was Gary Hill who wanted a cash sum and a two year contract which is why he was turned down.

Romford did have a second consecutive win earlier in the week 3-2.

This evening Romford are away to eighth-placed Histon. The home match on 19th. October was a rare 5-1 win for Romford, their first league win of the season. Their home league form from the commencement of the season until their next home league win was LLLL/Histon 5-1/DLLL .

The logistics might be a problem :-

That was written on 14th. August 2018 when he signed for Woking FC.
