A couple of non league snippets

Noticed that the very experienced Matt Somner has joined Walton Casuals. At 32 not over age either. A good signing from Walton's angle but seems strange, given his record.

See Dobbo is still turning out for Chesham. Be nice if they get our cast-offs now ! Wouldn't mind if we got a few of theirs, from time to time ie Steve Wales,Chris Watters,Darren Purse etc ! ha ha.

Seems their winger Mark Bell has joined Banbury. As he previously played for Oxford City, I presume he lives up that way.

Well Darren Purse has already joined Staines.

I know that, I was thinking of the irony of it.

Seems Dobbo turned out for Steve Bateman's Aylesbury on Saturday. So looks like he's left Chesham.

How many times have Farnborough been in money troubles in the last 10 odd years? Hard to find sympathy when lessons aren't learnt and it's the loyal fans who suffer. Even if they do survive which reading their forum sounds unlikely they'll be so unprepared and behind plus the possibility of points deduction it's probable they'd be relegated anyway.

Being a Slough fan, you know the trials and tribulations of non league clubs who get in trouble. I feel for all the genuine Farnborough fans. Not fair what's happening to them.

I for one hope they turn it around and get back on a sound footing.

Let's hope they find the right chairman to lead them to better times !

The shady world of finance at non-league clubs is a complete mystery to me but how can Farnborough be solvent, yet have no money to pay the bond?
