The pitch at Wealdstones was passed fit to play yesterday, unfortunately their floodlights failed and the game was called off.

That's known as 'S0ds Law' !!

Glen Tamplin has found a home for his cash. He has become an investor at Romford FC. Within 5 hrs of the announcement Romford announced there management team and backroom staff had been released. see announcement below:-

As of Lunchtime Tuesday Romford FC have parted company with Manager Paul Martin, Mark Lord and the backroom team.
It was felt with the new investment coming into the club it was the right time for a fresh start.
It would be difficult to put in words the impact and legacy that Magic and Lordy have had on the club, and were well respected and liked not just in our club but across the non league world.
We appreciate this is a lot of information for supporters to take in at the moment, but ask that you bear with us during this transition.

A new management team of 4 people have been put in place who have access to players at higher levels, including league two. Some of those players will be available for Saturdays home game against Coggeshall.
I am sure supporters will have their own words of thanks, but on a personal note I have enjoyed working with them both, over their long tenure at the club.

George Borg is still going??!

Remember him back in the day as a player at Wycombe - nasty and foul mouthed if I recall....

This 4 person management team has to include old tampers hasn’t it??? Expect to see an influx of players too good for their level and grand promises of playing in a brand new stadium in the Football League in 4 seasons time!

Rebellier  Your memory is still first class  Borg is a very unpleasant lifeform.

Mark Pye wasn't impressed by George Borg[after years of playing under him] ,as he kicked him in the nuts, if memory serves me correct.

George Borg seems to have been around for years. He must be knocking on a bit now. Certainly got a lot of experience but seems a rather conservative appointment by Braintree, given that he's following on from Glenn Driver.

Guest Wycombe Rebel

Borg, football wise, is vile, his management approach is stuck in the dark ages...

Anyone remember Junior Harvey having to be restrained from giving him a hiding when we played Aldershot back at Wexham Park years ago? Think we lost 1-0, Abbo returned to get the winner!
