Went to watch Maidenhead v Wealdstone in the cup. Poor crowd considering the importance of the game - 800 odd with a good and vocal 200ish from the Stones (we'll have to really get behind the team in both Christmas games this year to compete with the Stones' support.) Tight game - if anyone deserved to win it was Wealdstone who led from mid way through the 2nd half until 80 odd mins when Maidenhead scrambled an equaliser.

In terms of the football think we could give either side a game but we'll have to play really well to do so against Wealdstone. Billy Clifford looks more at home playing slightly further back than he did for us.

They'll all turn out if they get to the next round against an EFL club. Don't understand why this should be the case as Wealdstone are a well known and local club only a few league positions below Maidenhead, albeit 1 division down. I guess it's the season ticket holders not wanting tp pay. Same last season against Chippenham.

The build up play was so slow especially by maidenhead being the home team even when they equalised there was no dynamism to up the play to win the game the Stones had the better chances and deserved to win.

Good win in the FA Cup for next weeks opponents Oxford City.

In the league Hungerford are off the bottom after beating Concord away 2-0.

St Albans are now the basement club after losing 1-0 at home to Bath.

Francis scored again for Hendon in a 2-1 defeat at Truro.

Was also at the game today, part of the low ‘891’ officially attending. Maidenhead largely disappointing throughout the full 90 minutes, Wealdstone looked organised, and certainly looked more creative overall, especially Billy C pulling the strings, but unlucky they left York Road with just a draw.

Will be an interesting couple of games v Wealdstone on Boxing Day & New Years Day, with 2 sides wanting to play football the way it should be

Being there as well totally agree with your view it was more like a league than cup game no real excitement in the 96 minutes considering what was at stake sitting next to a maidenhead supporter he was not happy but you still would not put it past them to win the replay.

Slough Town weren't even playing but Maidenhead United had a poor gate! But there was a Big Match at Adams Park and Reading were at home too.
I was at The SKYex for Hayes & Yeading United v Poole Town. It was not the goalfest expected despite Hayes & Yeading United having Keano Robinson sent off in the 4th. minute. The gate of 416 was a ground record but I didn't see any other Rebels fans there.
Joe Grant had a good match but Poole Town will be strong favourites for the replay.

Incredible events at Haringey Borough's FA Cup game with Yeovil where the game was abandoned with the Haringey players refusing to finish the match due to alleged racial abuse, bottle throwing and spitting.

It was mentioned on TV reports last night..  I await the F.A.'s comments with interest.

After the Bulgarian fioasco, something has got to be done , and fast.

On talksport this morning our ex Chairman Alan Brazil spoke briefly about our FA Cup game with Macclesfield back in 1998 when we lost 9-8 on penalties.

He said our center forward had missed a penalty and after the game asked for a pay rise to which manager Graham Roberts blew a fuse.

Not sure who that player was but he certainly had some front.

Martin Deaner was the chairman at the time.

Alan was/is a friend of Graham Roberts who assisted as an observer/ tactician? though not directly on the staff as I recall.

Did he actually do anything?
