I think you could hazard a guess, that they will need a few experienced new recruits to turn their fortunes around, sooner rather than later!

If Wantage or any other team haven't got the money to attract the right players or the manager cannot attract players good enough then the best thing all round is for that club to settle at a level that is sustainable for them to compete.

Agree but as they were recently promoted I would have thought they would have been hoping to, at least compete in the division.

Nobody wants to be in a team that is tonked every week, or to watch a team that is tonked every week but I do like to see if, and how a manager turns around the teams form. I know nothing about Wantage fc but I will be following their results and recruitment with interest now.

I think they said he’s “stepped down as owner”. Does that mean he’s stopped bankrolling the club, but still effectively owns it?. No idea how you step down from owning something unless you sell it or give it away. Time to grab the popcorn again.

Got to feel sorry for the genuine supporters though, for their sake hopefully this is the beginning of the end of all the Tamplin nonsense.

So far only midfielder Danny Waldren has left, center back Charlie Wassmer has gone on loan to Hampton until January.

Apparently their accounts show a deficit of over 500k as of May 2018.

Seems Tamplin is trying to give the club away for nothing but according to his resignation letter the prospective new owners have backed out.

Jonathan North ,goalkeeper at Wealdstone has joined Chesham on loan.

On one of the non league news websites it's got that Joe Grant has joined Bracknell on a month's loan whereas Bakes says it's Hayes and Yeading on the squad update for Dartford. Out of curiosity what club has he joined?

He's used to playing before over 2,000 at Arbour Park then!
