Hampton and Richmond have signed 40 year old veteran striker Jefferson Louis.

We must be the only club old Jeffers hasn’t played for! Hopefully my statement won’t come back to bite my big arse, but I’m too worried about this signing, that is all.

O my, another Jamie Cureton who was well past his sell by date in the end

I think Cureton, for his age, did well at Farnborough and I think is still playing.

Like Manny Williams, if you look after yourself, a lot of players could play into their late thirties early forties.

You're too worried?

Don't be Glen, he's just a big lump who is dangerous from free kicks and corners.

Exactly he shouldn’t have any pace but he’ll be a right nuisance at set pieces! Hopefully our Manny can teach him a few new tricks!

I take it, GlenSTFC, you mean't ' I'm NOT too worried about his signing'.

I think another of Jefferson Louis attributes is his shielding of the ball/hold up play, which allows others to play off of him. I'm hoping we see more of this from Ryan Bird when he starts to lead our line up front.

Norwich beat Man City but what about our league for a shock result, in that Havant lost 1-3 at home to Braintree !

Braintree seem to be the surprise package this season and Havant seem to be a little inconsistent, brilliant one week and drawing or losing the next.

Windsor have appointed experienced ex football league manager and player Mark Cooper as their new manager.

He say's he wants to take Windsor up the leagues and will be recruiting some players from higher up the pyramid.

I'm not sure how they will achieve his goals if Windsor maintain their phylosophy of just paying players expenses.

The stats for the Havant v Braintree match had Havant having 13 shots on target, 10 shots off target, a missed penalty and 8 corners! Braintree had 4 shots on target, 3 shots off target and 2 corners, and yet Braintree scored 3 goals to Havant's one goal.

No wonder Paul Doswell was frustrated and flabberghasted by Havant's loss!

Mark West at Thame United has snapped up forward Ryan Blake from Chesham and he scored for them yesterday.

Steve Bateman's Berkhamstead sit top of the table in their league and won away from home at Wantage 0-7 yesterday.

Our loanee from last season, Tommy Wood, scored two headers for Leatherhead in their extraordinary 5-5 away draw with Worthing in the Isthmian Premier division.

You’re thinking of the current Forest Green Rovers manager. Unfortunately for Windsor this is the lesser namesake.

They’re bang in form after a slow start, much like ourselves. I’m too surprised as even though they were relegated from the league above I thought they’d be mid table or below. Although it’s still early days.
