A couple of non league snippets

Chippenham have signed 32 year old ex football league striker Chris Zebrowski from Eastleigh.

Wealdstone have also signed a striker in the shape of Phil Roberts who was with Braintree last season and with Hemel Hempstead, a couple of seasons ago.

In the non league paper [yesterday's edition] they have Slough at home to Bath City on August 17th. I take it, that is a misprint, as on the Slough website it says we are away to Maidstone?

By the way, also in this edition of the non league paper, Bakes names his 'dream team' of players he played alongside, which makes for a good read.

After losing to Kings Lynn at the weekend Hereford have sacked their manager Marc Richards.

Ludicrous! They've only played 3 games and they are mid table with 4 points !  The world has gone mad !

Apparently not the start they expected.

After they sacked the manager that got them promoted, nothing should surprise.

Well, it's not the start Slough have expected but I don't want to sack our managers !

Hereford's board must be deluded if they think they are going to walk the Conference North. How can a manager and his team be judged on 3 games?

I think the board at Hereford should be sacked for such an unwise decisions! They have a track record in this, as they sacked Peter Beadle who got them 4 promotions, so what can you expect.

It's probably nothing to do with the games/performances, perhaps that's an excuse, maybe there's stuff going on behind the scenes, as it makes no sense.

Not sure if it's just that because of their glorious past that expectations are off the scale.

Marc Richards won 9 league games out of 34 so I guess the board didn't think that was acceptable.

Why did they let him start the season then? Surely they should have changed managers before the season started, if they were that bothered.

Billy Clifford has started on fire at Wealdstone. 2 goals so far and man of the match last night and in the Conference South team of the week last week.

We have missed him in our team so far, no doubt about that but he didn't want to play for Slough, so I couldn't careless what he's doing. We need to move on from him.

Of course he's a good player but not sure our midfield have suffered that much without him.

We know the reason why he turned down the opportunity to play for Slough so personally I'm glad he's now at Wealdstone.

The only still pointless team Hampton and Richmond lost 3-2 to Oxford City last night  but ex Rebel Louis Soares  scored one of their goals and attracted some praise on their social media for his all round performance.

Louis Soares scored from a penalty but apparently did have a good game.

I think his not coming back was a big loss, as he seemed to bring out the best of the players around him and his participation seemed to link all parts of the team together, not by doing anything out this world but something just clicked for the better when he was in our team. He's not here now, so we have to move on.
