No it means what I wrote... I’ve not seen him play that many games for Slough. So I was asking other fans who had seen more to give their opinion?

Hey I’d love to watch every game home and away but family and other commitments get in the way sometimes!

You’d only have to watch him once to realise he’s a player..

In fairness I’ve not seen much of Billy so can others who have comment on his value to our squad? It seems we’ll only sign one more player so with trialists looking to impress plus other players we may have had an eye on becoming available throughout pre-season, i wonder if Billy was available right now if we’d sign him or bide our time a little?

Transfer fee and wages could be a major factor.

But we wouldn’t pay a fee, I meant hypothetically if we could get him now for free or wait to see what the trialists bring plus other targets who may become available during pre-season.

Well Neil has sort of ruled out the likelihood of Billy Clifford coming to us for the start of the season or even the whole season but it's a pity, as I thought Billy seemed to be the right component to get our team back on track, when the team needed a lift last season.

He was accredited to be a defensive midfielder but from what I saw of him, that positional name was doing him a disservice. It wasn't that he was a creative midfielder but his confidence on the ball and his hardworking style seemed to be fit in well with our team and when he played our other players confidence seemed to rise with him in the team. Suddenly from us having a sticky patch of form, Billy's arrival negated this and he seemed to be the catalyst which started our rich vein of form. He even got on the score sheet, had the gumption to take a penalty, and would be willing to make in roads into the box, and his passing was simple but effective and you could tell he had an assured quality/vision, in how he went about his game.

I hope we can add another quality midfielder as a replacement for Billy Clifford at some point but like Neil said, its not like we are in a desperate hurry, as we have enough quality for the start of the season and also we may get lucky with a trialist. I would rather we wait and sign someone, if our results are not going so well, than rush in someone who may not be needed.

Hypothetically if we could get him now for no fee and within our wage structure we'd be daft not to.

Yesterday we had an ex Slough player who was not only allowed in the car park but Also on to the pitch as a so called Slough legend but he did have the Berks@Bucks Cup rubbed in his face after the game.

You've completely lost me, care to explain,SD.

Mark Bartley had the cheek to turn up and play?

As far as I'm aware the Slough Legends day is organised by someone who is no longer attached to the club.

I think you mean Debi and Paul who have given many years free and selfless service to the club.
