Bath City have released ex Hereford goal machine John Mills.

Be interesting to see which club he ends up at.

I wonder if Oxford City will take a chance on him, as they've lost their main striker and Jon Mills was from Oxfordshire. Might be a good fit.

He didn't go to the Conf North with Hereford because of the travel. May be an option for Oxford if they end up in the South because of repreives

I stand corrected. Mind you, having had unsuccessful spells at Bath City and Banbury,he needs to find his form again and play regular. Perhaps he will drop down a level. Having said that, given the budget cuts at some of the Conference South clubs, there may still be managers in our division who might take a punt on him ie Hampton, Wealdstone, St Albans, Hemel ......

Do you fancy him at Chesham, CUFCGeneral ?

The John Mills that won the league with Hereford would definitely fit the bill for us. Whether we could afford him would be another matter, he was considered to be quite pricey when he was at Hereford by all accounts.

Sure he'd be on the radar of someone like Brennan at Wealdstone although he seems to be going with a young movement so far

For all we know, he could be the player Bakes and Unders have agreed terms with (he says before being shot down by Bakes and Unders ;-))

Being that he is now 29 and that his recent spells in football have not been very successful, I think he's more likely to drop down a level. Chesham could be a club that would suit a player like that,as your  new-ish managers seem to have steadied your ship and are getting the best out of their players and John Mills needs a manager/s that will nurture back his goal scoring and give him time to adjust and have faith/belief in him.

Dean Brennan and Gary McCann aren't likely to have the time and the patience to resurrect a player like John Mills,as their clubs crowds are impatient for success. Think Gary McCann would be better than Dean Brennan in this regard, though.

That's why I thought Mark Jones and Oxford City in the first place, as Oxford don't seem a club over ambitious and  Mark Jones seems a shrewd manager, who raises the performances of largely mediocre players at his disposal and they need to replace their main striker quick but as you say CUFCG, the Conference North for Mills might be out the question.

I thought it was because Hereford got promoted and with the extra travelling involved Mills asked for more money, was flatly refused and then got transferred to Bath City.

John Mills could do no worse than go back to his original club Didcot to re-discover his form.

Alex Wall has unsurprisingly signed for Hemel from Concord. How many have now left Concord?

As you say, no real surprise that Alex Wall has signed for his old boss and with Jake Howells signing we now see the reason why Parkes was made an offer he could and did refuse.

Wealdstone have signed their former full back Ryan Sellers from Halifax. They have also signed striker Reece Beckles-Richards from Wingate and Finchley.

Ex Maidenhead player Christian Smith has left Wealdstone.

Any inkling where he is going, RR?  Not a bad player IMO.
