RR He is one of 13 from last seasons squad released It'll be a very different Chelmsford we face this coming season

Adrian, a Chelmsford supporter has listed the players that have left and apart from Rhys Murphy and Scott Fenwick most have been either loaned out, injured or only played a very small part in their season.

Seen on the Hayes and Yeading fc website that Slough have a friendly against them at their place on Sat 20th July at 12.30 pm.

Both Gateshead & Ebbsfleet are listed to appear in Court today with Winding Up Orders issued against them, and even if they defend these successfully will still need to convince the Conference AGM in about three weeks time that they have the financial stability to get through next season.

I wouldn’t be surprised if at least one of them is kicked out & Aldershot get a reprieve.

Do we know who will go in to national league north and south yet?

Havant, Maidstone, Weymouth, Tonbridge, Aldershot and Dorking will all join the South I’d assume?

Kings Lynn, Kettering, Braintree (?), Farsley Celtic and Gloucester (?) will join the north?

Dorking Wanderers have announced thet Jake Gallagher HAS signed with them from Aldershot.  Handy for him as he lives in Great Bookham just outside Leatherhead.

Billy Clifford has been (surprisingly) retained by Billericay Town so I guess he won’t be signing for us.

Not surprised at the calibre of signing and no doubt they’ll be a few more of the same ilk. Wouldn’t be surprised to see them challenging for a top 7 place.

Because of the obvious benefits I'm sure Billy Clifford will be happy to stay at Billericay but I'm sure game time will be the deciding factor as to whether it's the best move for him.

Besides, with Max Worsfold signing I think we are more than adequately covered in the midfield area.

Time to concentrate on our attacking prowess because as we all know that's the area where we were lacking last season.

‘Ebbsfleet United have been given more time to clear their tax debts and will return to the court later in the year.’

Gateshead had paid their tax bill before the court hearing so the action was dismissed, but apparently are currently locked out of their stadium due to unpaid rent, and are in arrears with player salaries.

It will be an interesting Conference League AGM.

It was also announced at the awards night we’d be playing Eastleigh and Sutton United. There was a fifth but can’t remember now! The plan is for 7 games in total.

It was the one I couldn't remember either - Kings Langley away.

I know Hayes & Yeading, Beaconsfield Town and Kings Langley are all away. Not sure on Sutton United and Eastleigh but would guess one or both are at home. Season starts early 3rd August.

Probably as mentioned a mix of grass and 3G friendlies.

While I agree with you that foremost we need to strengthen our front line quickly, I think being we have a smaller squad[in term of numbers] and we now know for the start of the season Billy Clifford won't be at Slough, I believe it would do no harm to pursue another 'new face' in our centre midfield for pre-season and the commencement of the new season. To me it doesn't necessarily have to be an experienced Conference South player, although it could be, as there are a few being released by clubs, it is more about bringing competition for places and freshening up our the line up. It could just as easy be an up and coming young player from the level below.

We know our squad doesn't need a major overhaul for next season but I think three new players is a better bet than two, for an uplift going into the new campaign.
