and .....

Warrington 2 Kings Lynn 3 AET

So all 4 teams from last years Southern League play offs are now promoted to the National League North/South.

2,200 exactly Lynn can't wait for the pic's or video.

Do we know who will go in to national league north and south yet?

Havant, Maidstone, Weymouth, Tonbridge, Aldershot and Dorking will all join the South I’d assume?

Kings Lynn, Kettering, Braintree (?), Farsley Celtic and Gloucester (?) will join the north?

I believe Oxford City are planning for NLN next season, meaning Braintree into the NLS. Still possible that Aldershot may be reprieved though depending on Gateshead’s future

Thanks for that. So that means 7 new teams for us next season potentially if Aldershot don’t get a reprieve.

Someone on the Wealdstone forum has done a costing on what teams are charging next season for a standard early bird season ticket.

The cheapest at £150 are Slough, Wealdstone and Concord.

Even Hungerford are charging more at £170.

The most expensive are Braintree at £270 and Weymouth at £260.

Not sure.

For three parts of the season the Wealdstone supporters thought he was past his sell by date.

Interesting names on the Wealdstone site for their new manager.

I think a lot of Wealdstone fans were unimpressed with his goal scoring ratio and that he missed a lot of chances.

I thought he was overpriced and was being overpaid by Wealdstone but when I've seen Dave Pratt play I've always thought his overall play is a good and he brings more to the game than just goal scoring. He sets up lots of chances for other players, works hard to find space, leads the line well and plays intelligently. So for me he's not a one trick pony and his critics don't seem to take these assets on board.

I hope Slough get a top name striker in [in non-league terms] like we did when Chris Flood or Charlie Moone signed, someone established, as it raises publicity for the club and will boost our strike options, as it is the one area I feel we are light in and needs an uplift. Not taking anything away from Francis, Ben or Manny when I say this.

For the money they were paying him I expect they just wanted more goals from him.

True. Understandable given his transfer fee and the good contract he was on but I was only highlighting his playing prowess. Wealdstone paid silly money for him but I wouldn't say they are the easiest fans to please and there were fans who seemed intent on ridiculing everything Bobby Wilkinson and his top player Dave Pratt did.

Good interview with Dean Brennan on the 'Non League Show' telling the real reason why he left Kingstonian after such a short tenure also what a basket case Billericay were when he took charge.

Read somewhere that he lives near Nottingham which I find hard to believe considering the clubs he's recently been at.

According to the BBC website, the attendance at the National League play off Final at Wembley yesterday between Salford City and AFC Fylde attracted an attendance of 8,049. If this is correct, I think that this is pretty pathetic. Yes I know the two teams came from the North West and Fylde are going down again to Wembley for the Trophy Final next weekend, but this was the game for the winners to get into THE Football League for the first time ever. We had half that attendance for our Southern Premier play off match against Kings Lynn last season. If I was a fan of either team I'd feel a tad embarrassed.

Well done to Tonbridge Angels.

Another new ground to visit next season and only a short hop around the M25  ?

A short hop around the M.25, RR ??   I do just love your optimism !
